England have named a 15-member squad for the one-off Test against India at Lord's, which begins on July 10. The fixture will be a landmark occasion for women's cricket, marking the first women's Test to be played at the historic venue.

Nat Sciver-Brunt will captain England in a Test for the first time, leading a squad that combines experienced campaigners such as Heather Knight, Tammy Beaumont and Amy Jones with a number of players pushing for their maiden appearances in the format.

The squad features five players yet to play a Test. Alice Capsey, Tilly Corteen-Coleman, Mady Villiers, Grace Potts and Ellie Threlkeld are all in line for potential debuts. Potts and Threlkeld are also uncapped at international level.

Several players who featured in England's most recent Test, against Australia in the 2024-25 Women's Ashes, have been left out. Sophia Dunkley, Bess Heath, Danni Wyatt-Hodge, Charlie Dean, Ryana MacDonald-Gay and Kate Cross are among those to miss selection.

"We have selected a strong Test squad under the leadership of Nat Sciver-Brunt for what will be another historic few days at Lord's for women's cricket," said Clare Connor, ECB managing director of women's cricket.

"Test cricket is a rare and wonderfully challenging experience in the women's game and I know how proud our players are to represent England in this format. For the 11 women who will get the chance to be the first to enjoy that feeling at Lord's, it will be a moment to savour."

England squad: Nat Sciver-Brunt (captain), Tammy Beaumont, Lauren Bell, Maia Bouchier, Alice Capsey, Tilly Corteen-Coleman, Sophie Ecclestone, Lauren Filer, Amy Jones, Heather Knight, Emma Lamb, Grace Potts, Ellie Threlkeld, Mady Villiers, Issy Wong.
