So, that’s it from our side! Join us for another high-octane contest from the BBL tomorrow. Until next time, goodbye and cheers!
Nathan Ellis | Player of the Match: I think, you know, in our batting innings, the way we started, we sort of looked at the wicket and thought, it looks like a good one, and we didn't really know, our total was looking in north of 185 but we lost wickets in the middle and we were probably 30 short, 25 short. We kept trying to stay positive, and they kept trying to take wickets. I think it's sort of starting to become a trend, when you're playing on good wickets. I think, traditionally down here, has been a really nice wicket. Meredith has been good throughout the tournament, happy for everyone and happy for Chaudhary for the way he bowled. With 2 games left, we will give our best. We will stick to our processes and try to stay fit.
22:22 Local Time, 11:22 GMT, 16:52 IST: The defending champions continue to impress and they have won two on the bounce. They posted a good score on the board as a number of their batters chipped in for them. In response, the Strikers were pushed completely on the back foot in the powerplay itself. Meredith struck twice in his first over and Ellis also took two wickets in his first over. The visitors lost another wicket within the first six overs and were in tatters at 31/5. Scott batted with poise and fluency from one end from the word-go and kept finding the boundaries consistently but he didn't get any support. He fought single-handedly and impressed with his strokeplay but the rest of the batting fell flat. If not for Scott's 58-ball 91-run knock, the Strikers would have got bundled out under 100.
