PLAYER OF THE MATCH
This result also means that Multan Sultans have qualified for the playoffs. That's all from this one. Until next time, it's goodbye!
Warner | Karachi Kings captain: That was a great performance from the guys. Up front with the new ball, the first couple of overs were okay. That wicket all around was good with the new ball. Both teams bowled well with it. But all in all, what a fantastic finish. Moeen bhai coming in, and then Khushdil.. we've been speaking to him that your time is going to come where you get that opportunity and today was that. So happy for him. Only happened by chance (him batting through). I was little bit frustrated. Kept on hitting fielders. But that's the game of cricket. I've played a long time. I just know that one guy is going to come in and play that cameo. And that's where last year we were going well. Hopefully this is the right time. We come out here for the next game, win that one and give ourselves a chance. To do that against a world-class bowler is phenomenal. And it just shows you that if you put pressure back on the bowler, no matter who it is, they can succumb to that. That was serious execution at the end there.[
Shaheen | Lahore Qalandars captain: I felt it was a very good total. We bowled very badly towards the end, especially myself. They will play before us, we'll see how it goes.
Khushdil | Player of the Match: Our team needed this badly. The position I bat in, the aim is to win a 1-2 matches from there. It's the most difficult position to bat in (number 7). If you get out, the bowlers are next. I have been struggling in this position in the last 6-7 years. Want to create the maximum impact for the team with a few hits. Credit to the captain for taking the game deep.
10.45pm local: Karachi are alive, Quetta are alive and the race is going down to the wire. Khushdil's fireworks have snapped the five-match losing streak of the Kings. 200 was a challenging target and they seemed to be struggling at the 10-over mark. But a quickfire knock from Moeen injected momentum, Azam Khan struck a few lusty blows, and then Khushdil showed what he can do at the death, taking down Shaheen in brutal fashion. It might have been a struggle for David Warner who batted right through the chase, but his teammates have got the job done with time to spare. Time for the presentations..

He pulls Karachi back from the brink of elimination and keeps their hopes alive with an explosive 14-ball 44. Low full toss, Khushdil swings and tonks it over wide long-on. Warner with a big smile on his face as he claps and applauds before giving a hug to the matchwinner
