Bangladesh vs New Zealand, 3rd T20I, New Zealand tour of Bangladesh, 2026 - CommentaryBAN vs NZ, 3rd T20I, New Zealand tour of Bangladesh, 2026 - Commentary
The two captains share the trophy as the series finishes level. Bangladesh had won the ODI series earlier but couldn't get the job done today. Time to wrap things up. Hope you enjoyed our coverage. Until next time, it's goodbye!
Nick Kelly | NZ captain: It's been a very enjoyable series for us. Spoke about finishing the series well and will be nice to get on the plane tonight with a win. It was awesome. Spoke quite a lot after the last game that we didn't get the plans right. But we were unbelievable today. The death overs were match-winning for us. Shoriful bowled really well at the top, like he has all series. Bev (Bevon Jacobs) soaked it up during the middle and got to see his power at the end.
Towhid Hridoy | Player of the Series: Very good team effort, hopefully we will continue. I just tried to execute my plans. Today I should have finished, but I didn't. Always I watch the scoreboard, try to play according to situation.
Bevon Jacobs | Player of the Match: Always like to contribute when I can. To be able to go out there and contribute is special. They weren't going to stop fighting and they're a kind of team who'll never stop fighting. Shoriful bowled beautifully to put the pressure on us. Luckily the run rate wasn't an issue because of how well the bowlers bowled. Surface was decent once you had some time to get in. Credit to all the bowlers. There was a little bit of variability in bounce.
Litton | Bangladesh captain: In the toss I said weather is a big factor. When we bat first, losing early three wickets is difficult. Then Hridoy and me had a partnership but then the rain came. 103 isn't enough. Shoriful bowled really well. New Zealand batting and bowling was up to the mark. If Shoriful bowls like this, Bangladesh cricket will be happier in future. (thanks the fans in Bangla)
18:26 Local Time, 12:26 GMT, 17:56 IST: The first two overs from Shoriful had the crowd believing that they might get to witness a special defence from the hosts. But it wasn't to be. Bevon Jacobs silenced them with a blistering fifty, ensuring that the series finishes level at 1-1. The pitch was a bit up and down and Bangladesh collapsed spectacularly after the rain break, getting bowled out inside 15 overs. It left New Zealand with a target of 103 and despite losing 4 wickets for just 33, they were just one partnership away. Stay tuned for the presentations...

Rishad Hossain to Bevon Jacobs, SIX, and he finishes it off with another crushing blow! The series finishes 1-1 as New Zealand take the final T20I by a comfortable margin. Tossed up, again in the slot and Jacobs nails the swipe over midwicket. Just by the sound it made you knew where it was headed

Rishad Hossain to Bevon Jacobs, SIX, another catch goes down as the fielder tips it over the ropes! Fifty for Jacobs! Floated up in the slot, he goes for a big shot but doesn't get it clean off the middle. Should've been taken at long-on. It was over his head and he had to reach with the reverse-cup but these chances are almost regulation these days
