PLAYER OF THE MATCH
Tilak collects the trophy and the other India A players and support staff join him to celebrate and pose to the camera. Alright, that's it for now. Hope you enjoyed our coverage. But don't forget, India A and Sri Lanka A will now play two four-day games in Galle, starting from June 25 (Thursday). Until then, it's goodbye from us.
Tilak Varma | India captain: Yeah, absolutely. Everyone has shown the real character in this tournament, especially when we lost against Afghanistan and Sri Lanka back-to-back games. And from there, winning with a large margin and showing that attitude on the field was tremendous. (Can I ask you what's the secret?) Definitely, everyone has played domestic games in their own state. So everyone has the experience, and it's just a matter of a moment and planning just before coming to the game. If you see the way we play in the powerplay and in between 10 to 40, and again we'll just accelerate and again we go on. Because we know we have got good big hitters in the death, and you know how Vaibhav and Arya have opened the game. So we know that in between we want that partnership, and that has been in our way. (What have you learned as a team from this tournament?) Honestly, if you say, I think it was really up on the mark, but slightly disappointing with the bowling. But if you see, we have got very good bowling attack, but it happens in one-off series, but you know how talented everyone is. So we weren't up on the mark in the bowling, but end of the day, the results matters. So when we are in the winning side, then it's good, but at the same point, there is a lot of learning in the bowling as well.
Sahan Arachchige | SL captain: Vaibhav played a brilliant innings in the powerplay, and then the last two overs also went to India. When you are chasing a big score, you need (some big scores). Young boys played very well and also the senior players... good tournament to score runs.
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi | Player of the Match: I didn't think too much, just wanted to make the most of the first 10 overs and execute what I had planned. (Was there pressure because all eyes were on him?) There was no pressure, but I was trying to execute the plans that were not working. I talked to the coaches and worked on it in practice. Today, the plan was executed and the result came out on its own. (What did he learn from this series?) I've learned a lot, but I've played 50 overs a lot. People don't seem to know. (laughs) Different conditions, different pitches, a little different to play, but it was fun and a good series.
The Indian bowlers played their part, but it was Vaibhav Sooryavanshi who all but knocked Sri Lanka out of the contest in the first hour of the match. The youngster smashed 94 off just 29 deliveries and brought up his fifty in only 11 balls (the fastest in List A cricket). The left-hander was ruthless, striking 10 fours and eight sixes. Priyansh Arya, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Tilak Varma, Kumar Kushagra, and Anukul Roy also made valuable contributions as the Indian batting unit produced its best performance of the tri-series. With a daunting total on the board, the bowlers had a comfortable cushion to work with and finished the job with ease. Stay tuned for the presentation ceremony.
18:04 Local Time, 12:34 GMT, 18:04 IST: India have finished the tri-series in style! After a slow start to the tournament, they produced their best cricket in the final two matches (including a must-win league game against Afghanistan A), and have capped their campaign with a comfortable 66-run victory in the final against Sri Lanka A. Chasing a total of 377, Sri Lanka needed a big knock from at least one of their top-order batters, but it never came. None of the batters were able to convert their starts into a match-defining innings. The game swung decisively in India's favour when Yash Thakur removed Sri Lanka's top three in the first powerplay. Sadeera Samarawickrama and Wanuja Sahan got fifties and kept the required run rate under control, but Sri Lanka continued to lose wickets at regular intervals. In the end, their chase never gathered enough momentum, and they finished well short of the target.

Vipraj Nigam to Mohamed Shiraz, out Caught by Anukul Roy!! And that's that. India A win by 66 runs. A thumping victory to seal the title. Shiraz's patience comes to an end. He was happy to just knock it around and play the odd big shot till now. But this ball he looks to hack it across the line, it spins away and catches the outside-edge. Anukul moves to his right from backward point, dives and takes a good low catch. Mohamed Shiraz c Anukul Roy b Vipraj Nigam 21(33) [4s-2]
