PLAYER OF THE MATCH
Bjorn Fortuin: It’s nice to get a good start to the ODI series. It’s really nice to see the guys standing up again. Jordan played an unbelievable knock, and Tony got some nice momentum as well. I hope we can keep going. Yeah, I think performing well for your team is what you want to do. What happens after that isn’t really in our control as players. But it’s nice to see the guys performing, especially performing big, like Jordan did today. That’s a good culture to build within a young team.
Gerhard Erasmus: Yeah, I felt like, against such a quality team, you know with such experienced players, we didn't really feel like we were in the game. We didn't really feel like we saw the first quarter of the game and put ourselves in any sort of position to go at it or go for the win. So, it is disappointing. But in these types of games, you then have to try and get as many positives together as possible. Obviously, we took four wickets, and a couple of lusty blows at the end are a couple of positives. Batting for a whole bunch of overs against a team that has so much experience and such high-quality cricketers is also a positive we can take from today. No, I think I would have bowled again. It's kind of the gut feeling. Yeah, I think the opposition probably would have done the same, and I would have bowled first again. Both those games are vitally important for us. We want to be looking at them alone, but we also know that there's a massive fixture for us in the World Cricket League going forward. So, we need to put in solid performances, get guys into good roles and get guys into good confidence.
17:52 Local Time, 15:52 GMT, 21:22 IST: Huge win for SA. The hosts were never in the game once the visitors slammed 348. They were always behind the 8-ball. There were two rain breaks and that delayed the victory for SA as the win looked inevitable. Namibia never threatened with the bat. Even with the ball, barring the first few overs, SA had it in control. The 150 from Hermann on debut at the top had set it up for the visitors. They never put a foot wrong. Namibia added 50 runs for the first wicket but took too much time in doing so. Kudos to the groundsmen as well. They were relentless. They just kept going to ensure there was play possible after the first rain break. Lot of food for thought for the Namibian side. They will have to come back stronger from this massive loss.

Subrayen to Jack Brassell, out Bowled!! Prenelan Subrayen is on a hat-trick. That was right up there and Jack Brassell danced down to miss it. The ball slammed into the base of the sticks. Poor thinking from the batter. Prenelan Subrayen has a four wicket haul and has 2 balls for a fifer. First he will look for a hat-trick. Jack Brassell b Subrayen 0(1)

Subrayen to Smit, out Caught by Jason Smith!! Taken at long-on. That was very full, angled in, JJ Smit went for the big swing of the bat and only managed to get caught at long-on. That was hit long but long enough. Almost yorkerish from Prenelan Subrayen and the batter found it tough to get enough elevation. Smit c Jason Smith b Subrayen 31(20) [4s-3 6s-2]
