The damage was done early, as Renuka Thakur produced one of the spells off her line. She picked up the first four Barbados wickets within the powerplay. The highest scorer for the chasing side had 16 runs, and that tells the story of how competitive the contest really was. India were disciplined throughout, and didn't steer away from their lines even when the game was in the bag. The spinners chipping in later with a few wickets, as India complete a dominant 100 run victory. Earlier in the innings, Jemimah Rodrigues and Deepti Sharma got a solid partnership to help their side set a solid target. For Barbados, it was a case of everything that could go wrong, going wrong. The only consolation as they pack their bags back to their island nation, they managed to play out 20 overs.
