26-year old Anurag Sarangi is an aggressive top order batsman who made his first-class and List A debuts for Odisha in 2014. He's a left handed batsman who prefers the limited-over format over the longer version and his stats are more than enough to prove it why is it so. Although he has played more number of innings in first-class cricket as compared to his List A career, he has notched up more centuries in the latter format. In fact, Anurag is yet to score a ton in whites.

In January 2018, Sarangi was named as the captain of Odisha T20 team during the East Zone Syed Mushtaq Ali T-20 Cricket Tournament where these following teams - Bengal, Tripura, Assam and Jharkhand participated. Sarangi is not only a aggressive left handed batsman, but he also adds value with his handy medium bowling.
