Shishir Bhanve is a left-hand batsman who has played 7 First-class matches for Karnataka and has scored 432 runs at an average of 43.2 including a century. Making his debut in 2015 against a strong Mumbai unit, the southpaw cracked a fifty in his maiden outing propelling Karnataka to a 400-plus total.

Bhavane showcassed his big-hitting prowness in the Karnataka Premier League in the latter half of 2015 and he was roped in by the Royal Challengers Bangalore for the 2016 season. Bhavane didn't get a game and was released in the next season. Poor form haunted the southpaw which saw him getting dropped from the Karnataka team. 3 years later, he made a comeback through some consistent performances in league cricket and played as an opener against Mumbai scoring just 5 in both innings.
