With his roots in Pakistan, Imran Qayyum made his first-class debut for Kent against Northamptonshire during the 2016 season. Having had some experience of county cricket, Qayyum spent the off-season in Pakistan and returned back to Kent as a better bowler. A slow left-arm bowler, Qayyum had an impressive 2017 and eventually dislodged James Tredwell as Kent's number one spinning option - particularly in the Twenty20 version of the game.
