With an experience of 75-odd first class matches and 8 centuries to his name, Nicky van den Bergh is a wicket-keeper/ batsman who represents the Lions at present. He made his first-class debut for North West against Gauteng and in his debut innings, Nicky was cleaned up by Tabraiz Shami. As a batsman, he's got a decent first-class record but when it comes to List A cricket, van den Bergh hasn't been impressive enough. Having scored only one fifty in 45+ List A games, van den Bergh has struggled to get going in the 50-over format.

However, when it comes to his T20 record, Nicky van den Bergh has scored a century along with three fifties to his name. In the Africa T20 Cup at Paarl on September 15, 2018, van den Bergh scored two fifties (68* & 74*) on the same day, against Boland and Limpopo respectively. North West Dragons won both the T20 contests on that day as a result of Nicky's two aggressive knocks.
