A batsman with some potential, Michael Barry, has struggled to find a permanent place in any of Auckland's teams. Having made his debut during the 2012-13 season, Barry has had only a handful of chances, although he did turn out to be a regular - come the 2017-18 season, at least in the 50-over game, where he added value to the team with his bowling.
