Another South African born cricketer in the English circuit. Harte was born in Johannesburg and played age group cricket for Gauteng before moving to England. He played for Middlesex and Somerset's second XIs but was snapped up by Durham when he scored 183 in a trial game against Northants.

Harte played regularly for Durham's second XI and also missed out on twin centuries against Yorkshire in the 2017 season. Such impressive performances ensured he made to the first XI and Harte made his debut in the first game of the 2018 season.

The defining moment of his career came at Riverside against Derbyshire. Harte scored his maiden hundred in Durham's second innings after his side were trialing by 109 runs. The knock set up Durham's second win of the campaign.
