A solid batsman, who could also chip in with some off-spin, Mark Wagh, represented Nottinghamshire and Warwickshire in county cricket. In 2000, Wagh was pulled up for suspect action but returned to roll his arm over after remedying his action. Despite churning out runs at county cricket, Wagh has not made to the English side, barring an inclusion in the preliminary squad for the ICC Champions Trophy in 2004.

He quit all forms of competitive cricket in June 2011 to seek a new career in law.
