Raymond van Schoor is a young Namibian wicketkeeper who began his career by opening the batting at the Under-19 African Championships. He finished the tournament with an impressive average of 56.50. His father Melt van Schoor was also a wicketkeeper for the national side.
Raymond made his first-class debut for Namibia in 2007 against Canada. His T20 debut came three years later playing for the Desert Vipers in the 2009-2010 Stanbic Bank 20 Series. He has been an integral part of the squad since then. He has over 3500 first-class and over 2000 List A runs to his name. In the T20s, he has scored over 1000 runs with 7 half-centuries so far.
