Salman Hossain had a first-class game against his name at the age of 16. Born in Barisal on 18th June 1995, Salman is a right-handed fast medium bowler and a lower middle order batsman.

In his FC debut game for Barisal Division in 2011, he was picked as a batsman and he scored 36 and 41 in each innings respectively. His 41 in the second essay was the highest score of the innings and that was scored against a strong a Khulna bowling attack. Hossain made his List A debut in September 2013 for Cricket Coaching School against Abahani Limited. Despite an inauspicious debut, he succeeded in his maiden season notching two half-tons in four games.

The Barisal-born all-rounder has significantly improved his batting skills since his FC debut. However, he is yet to prove his consistency at the domestic level.
