Charith Jayampathi is a young fast bowler, who was a part of the Sri Lankan U-19 team in the 2010 U-19 World Cup. During the team's tour to Australia, the previous year, he was their star bowler, picking up 9 wickets. He made his first-class debut in 2008 for Seeduwa Raddoluwa Cricket Club against Panadura Sports Club.

He is also a part of the Sri Lanka Under-23s. And plays for Uva Next in the Sri Lankan Premier League.
