Chamari Athapaththu to Izzy Sharp, out Caught by Kaushani Nuthyangana!! An exceptional catch from Kaushani Nuthyangana, juicy full-toss on offer, Sharp goes hard at it and the ball lobs off the leading edge towards short fine, Kaushani Nuthyangana runs in quickly, keeps her eyes on the ball to take a sharp catch. In fact there was a little collision with Mithali, who was coming in from short fine, but Kaushani manages to hold on and tumble over - ball firmly in control and no harm done. Mithali Ayodhya to Amelia Kerr, FOUR, hopefully that will get her going. Mithali misses the yorker and lands it in the driving arc, Kerr clears her front leg and drills it straight of mid-off. That quite elegant but plenty of power to beat the diving fielder

Kawya Kavindi to Georgia Plimmer, no run, Kerr was a goner if Chamari had hit the stumps. She had given up. Plimmer walks down the pitch and does not quite get under the good length delivery, mistimes the loft and it does not carry to mid-on. Kerr was halfway down the pitch before being sent back. Chamari collects it on the bounce and rushes into the throw. She misses and Kerr survives. She could have taken her time and then had a go..

Mithali Ayodhya to Isabella Gaze, out Caught by Kaushani Nuthyangana!! Mithali has struck in the first over. Perfect start for Sri Lanka especially after the previous game where they allowed England's openers to add 100+. Mithali pulls the length back and gets it to swing away, Gaze is rooted to the crease and has a tentative poke, the outside-edge goes to the right of the keeper. The ball was dying on Kaushani Nuthyangana and she has pulled off a blinder. She dives across and scoops it with her right mitt. That is one of the catches of the tournament so far.
