Matthew Short to Ollie Patterson, out Caught by Harry Manenti!! Heat have been bowled out for 121. Short with the final wicket and he'll be mighty pleased at how the first innings has gone - pushed through from round the wicket, drifts across the right-hander and beats Patterson in the flight as he gave the charge, he went through with the slog, mistimed it very badly and Manenti completed a fine catch, running back and to his right from mid-off. Ollie Patterson c Harry Manenti b Matthew Short 2(4)

Wood to Kuhnemann, FOUR, cheeky and four, fuller length delivery and just outside off - Kuhnemann went a long way across on the paddle, gets an inside edge past the off-stump and the ball beats short fine to his left - Kuhnemann is playing a handy innings

6
Hasan Ali to Kuhnemann, SIX, thumped, these are useful runs from Kuhnemann - picked the slower off-cutter early, bent down onto his knee and then slog-swept it over square leg, short boundary and it went sailing over

Hasan Ali to Thomas Balkin, out Bowled!! Cleaned up! The nipbacker from Hasan and it has gone right through Balkin's defences. Swung in late and he was rooted to the crease as he shaped for an ambitious drive, the ball burst through the gate and hit the top of middle-stump - as comprehensive as one gets. Thomas Balkin b Hasan Ali 1(3)

Jamie Overton to Hugh Weibgen, out Caught by Mackenzie Harvey!! This has goe straight up - Mackenzie Harvey calls for the catch, runs across to his left towards square leg and pouches the skier. You could see that Hugh Weibgen was getting flustered, was looking to lift the rate, but this was a heavy ball around off, bounced a tad more and hit high on the bat - no elevation and no distance, still Mackenzie Harvey needed to cover ground and he did it with ease. Hugh Weibgen c Mackenzie Harvey b Jamie Overton 28(33) [4s-1 6s-1]

6
Lloyd Pope to Kuhnemann, SIX, back-to-back sixes and Kuhnemann is on a roll - another wrong 'un that went awey, flat and just outside off - Kuhnemann rocks back and muscles it over deep mid-wicket for another maximum, 16 off the over

6
Lloyd Pope to Kuhnemann, SIX, lovely, a rank long hop from Pope - dragged it short and outside off, Kuhnemann picks the length, swivels across and hammers the pull over deep mid-wicket for a maximum - targetted the short boundary and cleared it with ease

6
Hasan Ali to Hugh Weibgen, SIX, clubbed, a friendly short ball, Weibgen gets inside the line, uses Hasan's pace and pulls it into the crowd at deep backward square leg

4
Jamie Overton to Hugh Weibgen, FOUR, nicely played, too full and at the stumps - Weibgen gets inside the line on the flick, places it very fine and the ball runs away to the ropes

W
Jamie Overton to Bartlett, out Caught by Lloyd Pope!! .. and it starts horribly badly for the Heat - the power-hitter has been bounced out and they fall further into the mire. Banged in short by Overton, was the effort ball and Bartlett was undone by the bounce, late on the pull and the ball hit high on the bat, lobbing a simple catch to short fine. Bartlett c Lloyd Pope b Jamie Overton 19(10) [4s-1 6s-2]

6
Lloyd Pope to Bartlett, SIX, crunched, this is good cricket from Bartlett - tossed up on off, he presses across and then swings through the line, sends it high and over wide long-on's head for another maximum

4
Lloyd Pope to Bartlett, FOUR, back-to-back boundaries for Bartlett - pushed through by Pope, but it's very full and Bartlett drags the shovel past mid-wicket - two men in the deep and he's split them to perfection

6
Lloyd Pope to Bartlett, SIX, clubbed, Bartlett will play his shots - picks the wrong 'un early, clears his front-foot and then swings through the line, high and wide of long-on for a maximum

Hasan Ali to Peirson, out Bowled!! Chopped on! The Heat continue to lose wickets - back of a length and just outside off, too close to be trying to run it down towards third man, Peirson was playing with an angled bat and the inside edge falls back onto his stumps. Brisbane floundering on New Year's eve at the Adelaide Oval. Peirson b Hasan Ali 13(12) [4s-1]

4
Hasan Ali to Peirson, FOUR, full and angling in, finally something Peirson can pounce on and he flicks it nicely through midwicket. That's only the second boundary of the innings and we're in the 9th over!

Liam Scott to Bryant, out Caught by Mackenzie Harvey!! Edged and gone! Heat are crumbling at the Adelaide Oval! Short of length outside off, Bryant looks to cut, gets beaten by the extra bounce and nicks it through. Half the side gone with just 21 on the board. Bryant c Mackenzie Harvey b Liam Scott 1(5)

Liam Scott to Bryant, out Renshaw Run Out!! Oh a direct hit from Lynn! There isn't much excitement among the players but it's been sent upstairs. Well would you believe it, Renshaw's gone, his bat is on the line and Heat have lost their fourth. Lynn was on the mic and he thought that Renshaw had made it safely. But that's the thing with direct hits. Excellent effort from him, closing in on the ball quickly from backward point after Bryant gently tapped it in his direction. Renshaw run out (Chris Lynn) 6(10) [4s-1]

W
Jamie Overton to Jack Wildermuth, out Caught by Wood!! It gets worse for Heat as Wildermuth departs as well! Bashed in on a good length, he looks to hit on the up over mid-off but probably gets it off the outside half. Fails to clear the infield and Wood takes it comfortably. Jack Wildermuth c Wood b Jamie Overton 5(10)

4
Wood to Renshaw, FOUR, premeditated and effective! Full outside off, Renshaw walks across and scoops it fine into the boundary

W
Wood to Lachlan Hearne, out Caught by Jamie Overton!! Another dolly for Overton at mid-off as Hearne falls cheaply on debut! It's back of a length just outside off, not short enough to pull but he goes for it anyway. What made it even more difficult was that it nipped away too. Ends up with a thick top-edge that goes straight up and Overton accepts gleefully. Lachlan Hearne c Jamie Overton b Wood 2(3)

W
Liam Scott to Munro, out Caught by Jamie Overton!! Right off the toe-end and gone! Slower ball does the trick for Scott, plus the wide line which made Munro reach out for it. He looks to go hard, miscues it off the toe-end and it's a simple catch in the ring for Overton. Munro c Jamie Overton b Liam Scott 4(6)
