Dushmantha Chameera to Mitchell Santner, out Caught by Charith Asalanka!! Terrific catch! The crowd find their voice again. But it is New Zealand who walk away with the momentum. Full pitcher outside off, right in the zone for the drive but Santner hits it close to extra cover. He went hard and didn't bother to keep it down. Asalanka dives to his right and takes it with both hands. That ball was travelling and he did well to cling on. Mitchell Santner c Charith Asalanka b Dushmantha Chameera 47(26) [4s-2 6s-4]

Dushmantha Chameera to Mitchell Santner, FOUR, not off the middle but the ball has enough to trickle into the rope. Full toss outside off, it was there for the big hit and Santner went too hard, dragged it off the inner half and the extra fielder inside the ring helped him there. No one at deep mid-wicket and long-on could not get around to make the stop
19.3
Dushmantha Chameera to Mitchell Santner, no run, Sri Lanka lose the review. Arrows it full and close to yorker length, Santner looks to squeeze the drive through the off-side and misses. The ball brushes the ground as he completes the shot

Dushmantha Chameera to Mitchell Santner, SIX, shot! Chameera searches for the yorker and does not get it right - full toss outside off, Santner moves across and pumps it down the ground, clearing long-on with ease
18.4
6
Dilshan Madushanka to Mitchell Santner, SIX, Santner does not miss out this time. Madushanka does not get the yorker right - full toss around the knee, Santner stays leg-side and has the space to extend his arms, lofts it towards long-on and gets plenty to clear the rope comfortably
18.1
4
Dilshan Madushanka to McConchie, FOUR, this is turning into a gem from McConchie. 132.2ks low full toss outside off, he moves across and almost sits down, opens the bat face and slices it behind square on the off-side. Third man was in and McConchie got it well wide of him
17.5
6
Maheesh Theekshana to Mitchell Santner, SIX, pressure getting to Theekshana. He had not conceded a four or six until this over. But Santner has put him under pressure. High full toss, Santner stands tall and launches the heave towards deep mid-wicket. He gets it high and all the way.. There's a check for a no-ball but it comes back as a fair delivery. That was close..

6
Maheesh Theekshana to Mitchell Santner, SIX, New Zealand on the charge. Santner joins the party. Flighted delivery and he picked the bones out of that, sits down and belts the slog sweep over deep mid-wicket. Short boundary on the leg-side and Santner made the most of it
17.3
4
Maheesh Theekshana to Mitchell Santner, FOUR, sloppy from Ratnayake. 86.6ks flighted delivery but fraction short, Santner hangs back and cracks it square on the off-side. Ratnayake does the hard work of getting there but his dive is not fluent, the ball does not stick and rolls into the rope
17
4
Dushmantha Chameera to McConchie, FOUR, excellent over - 18 runs. 117.1ks slower ball angled across, McConchie gives himself a bit of room and cuts it past a diving backward point. Ratnayake gets around from sweeper but can't keep the ball in play
16.3
6
Dushmantha Chameera to McConchie, SIX, what timing! Another slower ball from Chameera and McConchie has got hold of this. 120.7ks fullish delivery, McConchie just delayed his pick-up shot, got it off the middle and the ball sailed over deep mid-wicket
16.1
6
Dushmantha Chameera to McConchie, SIX, pace on and McConchie launches it over the rope. Much needed hit for New Zealand. 138.1ks length delivery, right in the slot and McConchie decides to go leg-side, uses the bottom hand and whips it over deep square leg
15.5
4
Charith Asalanka to McConchie, FOUR, finally a boundary. It has been a while - "first boundary in 33 balls," informs Aaron Finch on air. McConchie shuffles across, sits down and sweeps it backward of square. He did well to split short fine and deep backward square

Dunith Wellalage to Daryl Mitchell, out Bowled!! Daryl Mitchell is down on his haunches. Posing like The hurt Undertaker from WWE. Dasun Shanaka hinted that there will be spin on offer, but he could not have expected the spinners to do this well. They are putting the squeeze on here. Sliding in from a fuller length around off, Mitchell wanted to play a forward block and left ample bat-pad gap in the process. It doesn't turn, just skids through and hits the timber. Daryl Mitchell b Dunith Wellalage 3(7)

Maheesh Theekshana to Mark Chapman, out Bowled!! Maheesh Theekshana is on a roll here. This is the kind of dismissal he would play on loop and show it to his grandkids. Classic offbreak. Lands in line with leg stump, turns enough and bites the deck before hammering the top of off stump. Mark Chapman had no clue about that. He got opened up completely on the back foot and was made to look like a kid lost in a circus. Mark Chapman b Maheesh Theekshana 0(2)

Maheesh Theekshana to Rachin Ravindra, out Caught by Dushan Hemantha!! That is a crucial wicket for Sri Lanka. Rachin Ravindra throws his head back in disappointment. It was dropped short and wide of off stump, Rachin had all the time in the world to play whatever shot he would have liked. Opted for the cut and ended up hitting it flat and straight to the fielder at backward point. Rachin Ravindra c Dushan Hemantha b Maheesh Theekshana 32(22) [4s-3 6s-1]

Dunith Wellalage to Rachin Ravindra, FOUR, too full and wide of off stump, Ravindra sinks low and smashes the slogsweep in the gap between deep mid-wicket and long-on

W
Dushmantha Chameera to Glenn Phillips, out Bowled!! And he decides to respond in style. 144ks wobble seam slants in from off and hits the top of leg peg. Glenn Phillips wanted to heave but his feet were stuck to the crease. Was done for pace and late movement as the bll ripped past the inside edge. Glenn Phillips b Dushmantha Chameera 18(18) [4s-1]
9.2
Dushmantha Chameera to Rachin Ravindra, 1 run, put down! Second drop of the match. 117ks slower full delivery outside off, Ravindra went for the loft and miscued it high into the night sky. Dasun Shanaka ran in from mid-off, got both hands but failed to cling on. Dushmantha Chameera is not happy with the effort from the skipper...

4
Dushan Hemantha to Glenn Phillips, FOUR, full and right in the slot just outside off for Glenn Phillips, he gets under the ball and drills it back over the bowler's head, leaving no chance for the fielders at long-on and long-off
8.1
6
Dushan Hemantha to Rachin Ravindra, SIX, the best place to hit the cricket ball - straight down the ground. Slow and full just outside off from Hemantha, Ravindra danced down the wicket and timed the loft superbly to deposit it for a 98-metre mighty maximum
6.4
Dushan Hemantha to Rachin Ravindra, 1 run, backs away and cuts the slower googly to the left of sweeper cover
6.3
4
Dushan Hemantha to Rachin Ravindra, FOUR, a touch too full from Hemantha, Ravindra gets behind it and slams the drive straight back past the non-striker. The fielders in the deep had no chance whatsoever...

4
Dushmantha Chameera to Rachin Ravindra, FOUR, that was asking to be bashed! 141ks sat up on a length outside off, Ravindra plays the punchy drive and gets it past the diving right hand of the fielder at short extra cover

Dushmantha Chameera to Tim Seifert, out Caught by Kamindu Mendis!! Talk about placement. Tim Seifert did everything on that delivery except the placement. It was dug in short and Seifert wanted to use the pace on that delivery to target the shortest part of the ground - square on the leg-side. He played the pull, but relied on timing rather than power. It flew off the bat and went flat towards deep square where Kamindu takes a well-judged catch above his head. Tim Seifert c Kamindu Mendis b Dushmantha Chameera 8(9) [4s-1]

W
Maheesh Theekshana to Finn Allen, out Caught&Bowled!! That is one way to make amends. Maheesh Theekshana takes a fine catch, throws the ball towards the umpire and then hits the turf in what appears to be a slight bit of disappointment from that drop catch in the last over. Well, he can put that behind him for now. It was a carrom ball on the stumps, Allen went deep inside the crease to stay leg-side of the delivery and ended up chipping it tamely back to the bowler. It went low to the left of Theekshana and he claimed it with both hands inches above the turf. Finn Allen c and b Maheesh Theekshana 23(13) [4s-3 6s-1]

4
Dilshan Madushanka to Finn Allen, FOUR, rubbing salt into the wounds they say. Touch fuller and Finn Allen has lofted that straight back over the bowler's head
2.3
Dilshan Madushanka to Tim Seifert, 1 run, dropped! How many times have we seen Theekshana drop a catch? I'm afraid the answer is not gonna bring any bit of positivity to the Sri Lankan fans. Dilshan Madushanka is livid and rightly so. He threw it full and wide of off stump, Seifert slashes and the thick outside edge carries to the left of short third who makes a meal of it despite a well-timed dive. Theekshana got both hands, held it briefly and then lost control as he fell onto the ground...

4
Dunith Wellalage to Tim Seifert, FOUR, poor delivery from Wellalage. Drops it short on leg stump, Seifert rocks back and drags the pull off the thick inside half square on the leg-side. The fielder at deep mid-wicket had no chance whatsoever...
1.4
4
Dunith Wellalage to Finn Allen, FOUR, once again there is a hint of width and Finn Allen has managed to slash it in the gap between backward point and cover. Got it off the cue end of the bat, but he found the gap which was the most important from a NZ perspective...
1.3
4
Dunith Wellalage to Finn Allen, FOUR, touch quicker and shorter just outside off, Allen jumps on the back foot and crunches it in the gap between short extra cover and cover. Timed it really well and got the desired result...

Dilshan Madushanka to Finn Allen, SIX, enough of the sighters says Finn Allen. He gets a 138ks full ball on off stump, clears the front leg and hoicks it off the strong bottom hand over mid-wicket for a 71-metre maximum
