Dhaka Dynamites vs Rangpur Riders, 24th Match, Bangladesh Premier League, 2017 - HighlightsDHD vs RGR, 24th Match, Bangladesh Premier League, 2017 - Highlights
Shakib to Rubel, out Caught by Jahurul Islam!! He has been given caught behind. If not, he was anyway stumped on this occasion. Rubel stepped down to go over the off-side, missed it completely. In fact, there was a faint edge on it. Rubel c Jahurul Islam b Shakib 0(1)
19.4
W
Shakib to Gazi, out Bowled!! Shakib is on fire. He has stymied this innings. Gazi clears the front leg and tries to loft over the cow corner, the ball skids past his bat and strikes the off-stump. Gazi b Shakib 0(1)
19.2
W
Shakib to Ziaur, out Caught by Pollard!! Ziaur goes deep in the crease and tries to pull over the deep mid-wicket fence, miscues off the base of the bat and holes out to long-on. Ziaur c Pollard b Shakib 4(9)Ziaur goes deep in the crease
19.1
W
Shakib to Bopara, out Bopara Run Out!! 1 run completed. Throws it wide of off and Bopara cracks it wide of long-off. Wants two and runs blindly, Ziaur was not interested and despite a fumble at the bowler's end, Bopara had no chance to come back. Bopara run out (Mosaddek Hossain/Shakib) 12(16)
16.4
W
Amir to Perera, out Caught by Abu Hider!! Perera makes room to go into the on-side, is followed by a short ball that is quick, goes with the shot anyway and gets a leading edge for an easy catch to cover. Perera c Abu Hider b Amir 15(9) [4s-1 6s-1]
16.1
4
Amir to Perera, FOUR, inside edge but it runs away. Made room to clear long-on but was playing the wrong line. Fine leg had no chance
14.5
6
Afridi to Perera, SIX, skates down to the pitch of the ball, lofts over the man lurking at long-on
14
W
Shakib to Mithun, out Caught by Mosaddek Hossain!! Second wicket of the over! The Riders are losing the plot completely here. Imploding like a pack of cards. Mithun goes for the release shot, a slog sweep but skews it towards deep mid-wicket where Mosaddek makes no mistake. The pressure was telling on the Riders' captain and he succumbed to it. A partnership badly needed for the batting side. Mithun c Mosaddek Hossain b Shakib 22(26) [4s-1]
13
W
Afridi to Mortaza, out Caught by Narine!! Afridi has his revenge! Flatter and on a good length, depriving Mortaza of that slogging length but he wants to go big anyway. Top-edges it high towards backward square leg where Narine takes the simplest of catches. The spinners are doing it for the Dynamites here. Slowing things down considerably. Mortaza c Narine b Afridi 15(11) [4s-1 6s-1]
12.1
6
Afridi to Mortaza, SIX, sheer power from Mortaza! He has promoted himself exactly for his purpose. Stays back and finds the lengthg shortened, flatter trajectory and it's been dumped over deep mid-wicket
11.2
4
Abu Hider to Mortaza, FOUR, powered away! Shorter in length and Mortaza picks it early. Swivels to pull it away nicely through backward square leg. Cannot bowl that length unless it's head high
10.1
W
Shakib to Nafees, out Caught by Amir!! Another one bites the dust! The Dynamites are clawing their way back in style. This was bowled slower around off, Nafees wanted to slog-sweep and struck it fairly well. However, the placement was wrong as he found Amir at deep mid-wicket to perfection. First wicket of the night for the captain. Nafees c Amir b Shakib 9(9) [4s-1]
9.4
Pollard to Mithun, 2 runs, dropped! Was a tough one but after doing all the hard work, you would have expected Mosaddek to take it. Fuller and slower, Mithun steps down the pitch to loft it down the ground over long-on. Miscues it squarer as Mosaddek from deep mid-wicket charges to attack the ball, it doesn't stick. A brace taken
8.3
4
Shakib to Nafees, FOUR, terrific placement! Floated fuller outside off, Nafees times the drive beautifully and what's better, gets it well to the right of the long-off fielder who had no chance
7.1
W
Mosaddek Hossain to Gayle, out Caught by Abu Hider!! The plan's worked! BIG wicket! Not the first time an off-spinner has got Gayle and I must say that this was a smart move from skipper Shakib. Respite for the Riders, they needed this badly. Coming to the ball, it was a drag-down from Hossain but no real pace on it. Gayle mistimed the lofted pull, straight to Hider at deep mid-wicket. He is the same man who spilled a dolly earlier on, so this is perfect redemption. It did cost his team a few runs but better later than never. Gayle c Abu Hider b Mosaddek Hossain 51(28) [4s-5 6s-4]

4
Afridi to Mithun, FOUR, straight as an arrow! There is a man at long-off but Mithun has placed this one dead straight. No chance for that fielder as this blazes to the fence. Just a bit fuller from Mithun and it was lofted cleanly by the Riders' captain
6.2
F
Afridi to Gayle, SIX, clears the ropes again! The leg break this time and Gayle is expecting it. Sits deep in the crease and mows this one over long-on. Easy peasy! 50 for Gayle! He is on the rampage, again!
5.5
4
Amir to Gayle, FOUR, this one has been creamed! Pure timing from the big man. Short and a hint of width, that's enough for the in-form Gayle as he flays it through point
5.4
4
Amir to Gayle, FOUR, what a method to get a boundary! Gayle didn't want to play at this one and yet, finds the fence. Surely seems like this night today. He tried to withdraw the bat from the line of the ball but it ended up going off the bottom part of the blade. Beats short third man. Amir is livid!
4.5
4
Afridi to Gayle, byes, FOUR, streaky but they all count! Another full ball and Gayle wants to drive on the up. Gets a thickish edge that flies past the keeper to the third man fence
4.4
6
Afridi to Gayle, SIX, bludgeoned away! Gayle carries on in his merry ways. Floated up around off, a bit too full and he lifts it over extra cover. Raw power and it goes all the way. Ominous signs for the Dynamites here
4.1
W
Afridi to Brendon McCullum, out Bowled!! Afridi strikes straightaway! Just what he was brought on for and he has removed McCullum. It is the indrifter from the Pakistani superstar, Baz doesn't pick it and goes for a slog across the line wildly. Misses completely and sees his off pole going for a walk, that skidded off the deck perhaps. That trademark celebration from Afridi starts as he is mobbed by his mates. The Dynamites needed this, especially after that last over. Brendon McCullum b Afridi 6(8) [4s-1]
4
6
Narine to Gayle, SIX, H-U-G-E! Gayle is in the house, folks! How much is that dropped catch going to cost the Dynamites? It's already bleeding them. Fuller around off, Gayle takes a couple of steps down and clobbers this over deep mid-wicket. Way into the stands
3.5
4
Narine to Gayle, FOUR, this has been clubbed! Flatter around middle, he is down on one knee for the sweep and gets it over backward square leg easily. He is turning it on here
3.4
4
Narine to Gayle, FOUR, not quite in control! Doesn't matter as he has found the gap. Fuller this time outside off, in the slot for Gayle to carve it over cover. There is a man in the deep but this is placed squarer. One bounce to the fence
2.5
4
Amir to Brendon McCullum, FOUR, clears the infield this time! Not that well-timed but the power makes up for it. McCullum gets width and the length is short as well, clubs it over point to find the fence
2.2
6
Amir to Gayle, SIX, that's gone all the way! What a blow from the big man. Full and wide, his feet don't move, they never do actually but those huge hands make up for it. Smacks it over deep extra cover for a flat maximum
1.4
Narine to Gayle, no run, dropped! That's a dolly! You cannot put down chances of a batsman like him, he'll make you pay. Shorter in length and Gayle goes for the pull but skies it to short third man where the fielder sizes it well but spills it eventually. Bad miss, if there ever was one
1.3
4
Narine to Gayle, FOUR, too short and punished! Cannot bowl there to this man. Short and wide, Gayle says thank you and blasts it through point
