J Kaushik to Venkataraman, FOUR, good way to finish for the Kings. Very full outside off, Venkataraman makes room and biffs it through the covers. Nobody in the deep and it races away to the fence. Kings end on 185/5!

J Kaushik to Antony Dhas, out Caught by Ashwin!! Two fielders converged under the skier but Ashwin called for it eventually and took it with ease. Slower ball outside off, Dhas couldn't connect the slice-drive properly and skewed it up for miles near backward point. Mohammed from short third man also tried to get to the ball but smartly listened to his skipper's words and let him do the catching. Antony Dhas c Ashwin b J Kaushik 1(2)

M Mohammed to Shahrukh Khan, out Caught by Hari Nishanth!! Taken at long-off. Selfless from Shahrukh because a century was there for the taking but he perishes for the cause. Slower ball outside off, in the slot but he probably went for the loft early. Skews it high down the ground and it's taken comfortably by Hari. End of a spectacular innings from the young opener. He was just too hot to handle for the Dragons' bowlers. Shahrukh Khan c Hari Nishanth b M Mohammed 86(54) [4s-7 6s-4]

M Mohammed to Shahrukh Khan, FOUR, there is no stopping this man, Shahrukh Khan. Almost a good wide yorker from Mohammed, nothing bad but it's smeared straight back past the bowler. Drilled it with a lot of power
17.5
4
Ramalingam Rohit to Shahrukh Khan, FOUR, inventive from Shahrukh Khan. He is toying with the field and bowling now. Premeditates by walking across the stumps and gets a full ball in response, scoops it well over short fine leg. Fetches himself a boundary, brings up the 100-run stand!
17.4
6
Ramalingam Rohit to Shahrukh Khan, SIX, pumped over deep cover! Juicy full toss, Shahrukh doesn't need any second invitation and he lofts it with a strong bottom hand. Propelled it comfortably over the ropes for a flat six
17.1
4
Ramalingam Rohit to Shahrukh Khan, FOUR, more runs. Runs bleeding now. Full and quite wide outside off, Shahrukh walks down the track to unsettle the bowler and then opens the face to carve it away through backward point. No protection in the deep

Adithya Arun to Akkil Srinaath, FOUR, 50 up for Srinaath! It's been a superb innings so far, easing the pressure of Shahrukh Khan whenever the latter was slowing down a bit. This delivery is a result of what Srinaath tried off the previous ball. Arun responded by taking pace off and going on a length outside off, the southpaw waited for it before hammering it wide of long-off. Powered away

Adithya Arun to Akkil Srinaath, FOUR, unlucky for the bowler, forced the outside edge but third man was quite square and it raced to the fence. Wide yorker, Srinaath went hard on the expansive drive, not in control but will get four
15.4
Ashwin to Shahrukh Khan, 1 run, probably another of those fizzing leg cutters, Shahrukh went hard for the big stroke. Missed it by a mile. N Jagadeesan fumbled and it went towards short third man

6
Ashwin to Shahrukh Khan, SIX, that's a cracking stroke! Drifting in from well outside off, Shahrukh uses his reach and goes down on one knee to dispatch this over deep backward square leg with a meaty slog sweep. How well has he struck this! Wow!

Ashwin to Shahrukh Khan, FOUR, brilliant sliding stop by Vivek, raced to his left from long-off and saved a certain boundary. Or so it seemed but in vain. Brings up 50 for Shahrukh. What an innings so far! Flatter one from Ashwin, was a touch short and got spanked away through extra cover. They are checking if the stop is clean because Vivek had lost balance near the ropes before recovering. Has he done it cleanly? Seems okay. Naah, the foot has touched the ropes a bit. A boundary it will be

6
Adithya Arun to Akkil Srinaath, SIX, Srinaath is dealing in maximums at the moment. Slower and wider outside off, he just reaches it with a slice behind square on the off-side. Clears the ropes just about. Expensive over for Arun

Adithya Arun to Akkil Srinaath, FOUR, Srinaath is changing gears brilliantly now. Did get into a shell for a while but now is back to business. Slower ball outside off, width on offer and it's creamed through the covers by the southpaw on one knee. Long-off tried to get across but couldn't

6
Ramalingam Rohit to Akkil Srinaath, SIX, whattaa stroke! Incredible stroke from Srinaath, slower bouncer outside off and he went down on one knee to pull it away. Not sure how he generated so much power without much balance, cleared deep backward square leg with aplomb. Wow!

J Kaushik to Akkil Srinaath, FOUR, crunched! This should give Srinaath some confidence. Half-volley outside off, he just drills it hard past extra cover. Struck it very very hard and nobody is stopping that one
9.1
4
Ashwin to Shahrukh Khan, FOUR, aerial for a while but it's wide of deep mid-wicket. Goes past him and one bounce to the fence. Ashwin isn't amused, he wanted the fielder straighter and if he had been so, this was a dolly. Flatter on a good length, hoicked across the line by Shahrukh. Bludgeoned it away

6
Mohan Abhinav to Akkil Srinaath, SIX, swung over deep mid-wicket. Srinaath was hitting against the wind here but generated enough power to clear the fence with ease. Loopy leg break on leg stump, too full and it was slog swept with sheer power

Ashwin to Rohith, out Bowled!! Ashwin strikes! The batsmen in this TNPL haven't been able to pick his leg cutter and it accounts for Rohith here. Fizzes off the deck and he plays round the wrong line. Breaches his defences to crash into the top of off. Much-needed breakthrough for the Dragons as this partnership was threatening. Rohith b Ashwin 26(16) [4s-2 6s-2]

6
Mohan Abhinav to Rohith, SIX, dumped into the stands! Half-tracker from Abhinav, it did keep a touch low but Rohith adjusted brilliantly by rocking back quickly. Dispatched it over deep mid-wicket for a six. There was a fielder there, it went well over him
5.5
4
M Mohammed to Rohith, FOUR, more runs, low full toss on the pads and it's glanced away very down the leg-side. Rohith was on the shuffle as he went for the flick. Went more off the inside half of the blade but that helped him get it fine
5.3
4
M Mohammed to Rohith, FOUR, more runs for Rohith. Runs coming quickly from both ends now for the Kings. Full and very wide, Rohith goes on one knee to slice it over deep backward point. Didn't bother keeping it down at all and placed it well square of third man
4.3
6
Ramalingam Rohit to Rohith, SIX, clubbed away! The battle of the Rohits has begun and it's the batsman who has started on the right note. Gets a length ball and it's dumped over long-on without any mercy
4.1
6
Ramalingam Rohit to Shahrukh Khan, SIX, sheer power! What a strike from Shahrukh! Slower ball on a good length, a bit of width and it's been flat-batted straight down the ground. Brute force to send it roaring over long-off

W
M Mohammed to Shahrukh Khan, out Pradosh Ranjan Run Out!! Sensational stuff from Vivek! Got to the ball quickly at short third man and hit the bulls-eye at the keeper's end. It was a matter of inches and Pradosh Ranjan is just short. He has to go without facing a single delivery. Another run out and both featured Shahrukh. It was a slower ball that was dabbed with an open face, was always going to be a tight single and Vivek's sharpness dealt the blow eventually. Pradosh Ranjan run out (R Vivek) 0(0)

4
J Kaushik to Shahrukh Khan, FOUR, fab stroke! Shahrukh has started brilliantly here, timing the pants off most deliveries. On a good length outside off, too wide and it's stroked past the gap at point. Beautiful touch play
2.2
4
J Kaushik to Shahrukh Khan, FOUR, and again! Shahrukh had literally lifted this off one hand but chose the safest spot on the park, straight over the bowler's head. Got enough power on it to send it to the fence on the bounce. Slower and fuller, lofted comfortably over mid-off
2.1
6
J Kaushik to Shahrukh Khan, SIX, that's gone all the way! Full and wide, Shahrukh reaches out to slice it over point. Got a fair chunk of it and sent it all the way over the ropes

W
M Mohammed to Mukund, out Mukund Run Out!! Disaster for the Kings! Massive wicket and it's Mukund who has to go. Messy running, this was worked towards mid-wicket and Shahrukh Khan wanted the single. His partner wasn't aware of it due to ball-watching and the throw from Abhinav came at the keeper's end where Shahrukh eventually reached. Jagadeesan was alert and threw down the sticks at the other end. No way Mukund was going to reach it. A slight hazard for the Dragons as Mohammed fell with his back hitting the ground. He is walking off. Hopefully nothing serious. Mukund run out (N Jagadeesan) 4(6)
