Rampaul to Asad Pathan, out Bowled!! Cleaned up! Rampaul ends up dishing out two gold dust death overs. Very full and straight on this occasion, Pathan makes room for a wild slog but misses it altogether. Probably was late on the shot as well and sees the woodwork rearranged behind him. Asad Pathan b Rampaul 0(1)

Rampaul to Shafiqullah, out Caught by Stirling!! Holes out this time! Was the short ball from Rampaul and Shafiq doesn't quite like it there. Gets a top edge on the pull and Stirling at deep square leg pouches with ease. A handy innings from the Afghan dasher. Was scratchy earlier on but caught up well with some late hits. Shafiqullah c Stirling b Rampaul 34(21) [4s-3 6s-1]

Rampaul to Shafiqullah, FOUR, how do I describe this shot? The things these cricketers do to survive in this era of such short formats! Fuller ball and Shafiq premeditated the paddle scoop initially, and then adjusts with a reverse paddle. All in a matter of micro-seconds and makes terrific connection to clear short third man with ease

6
Ali Khan to Shafiqullah, SIX, much-needed hit for Shafiq and the Tuskers! Gets one in the slot and for a change, he opts to go straight down the ground. Lofts this through the line and sends it sailing over the long-off fence

Rampaul to Tharanga, out Tharanga Run Out!! 1 run completed. Absolute confusion! Tharanga wanted the second run and hesitantly started out as well despite getting no response from Shafiqullah. To be honest, the Afghan should have ran hard to give the in-form batsman more of the strike but Tharanga should still have communicated better. In the end, long-on fires the throw towards Rampaul who has all the time in the world to do the rest, with Tharanga not even in the frame. It was a full toss that was bunted down the ground and Dean Jones on-air was screaming for two. Tharanga also wanted it but his partner didn't. Tharanga run out (Mathews/Rampaul) 48(22) [4s-5 6s-2]

Rampaul to Shafiqullah, FOUR, clever batting from Shafiq! Senses the yorker attempt and premeditates by moving across early. Rampaul doesn't change the length and it ends up as a low full toss that's scooped aerially past a slow-diving Zaheer at short fine leg. An acrobatic fielder might have had a half-chance at catching this

6
Chameera to Tharanga, SIX, pace might be unsettling Shafiqullah but it isn't a problem for Tharanga. Not when you bowl short and to this field, he swivels and pulls it comfortably over short fine leg

6
Chameera to Tharanga, SIX, he's picked the bones out of this one! Length ball and it's in his arc as well, Tharanga clears his front leg and dumps it over the cow corner fence. Clean strike!

4
Adil Rashid to Tharanga, FOUR, chance goes down! Chameera at long-on overruns the ball and then has to leap backwards but it's too late. Makes a royal mess of a rather straightforward chance. Frustrating for Rashid who had enticed the mishit with a loopy googly and Tharanga hadn't got hold of the loft as cleanly has he would have liked
4.3
4
Zaheer to Tharanga, FOUR, pierces the gap! Tharanga is in full flow as he crashes this widish half-volley through the cover region. Struck on the up and timed it sweetly. Deep point had no chance of getting across

4
Zaheer to Tharanga, FOUR, bottom edge but there is no slip (there won't be any in T10 anyway) and it races away to the fence. Zaheer lets out a grunt in dismay. Was the knuckle ball and Tharanga backed away to flay this through cover but couldn't middle it well
3.2
4
Adil Rashid to Shafiqullah, FOUR, bang! Floated up by Rashid and this is in the slot for Shafiq who clears his front leg and mows it over mid-wicket with a slog sweep. Bisects long-on and deep mid-wicket perfectly

Willey to Charles, out Caught&Bowled!! Willey finally gets his plan right and reaps the reward instantly. Senses Charles wanting to go downtown and bangs this into the wicket. Unsettles Charles who is forced into an instinctive pull. The result is a fat top edge that goles straight up and Willey ain't letting anyone else to do the catching. Gets there himself. Charles c and b Willey 13(5) [4s-3]

4
Willey to Tharanga, FOUR, more runs! Willey isn't hitting the right areas! Feeds this on the pads and it's shorter as well, short fine leg can only watch as Tharanga wrists this well wide of him

4
Willey to Tharanga, FOUR, probably got it finer than he would have liked but he'll take it! Short and wide, Tharanga just needed to beat short third man and does so with a flashy cut that goes off the slice
2
4
Chameera to Charles, FOUR, consecutive boundaries and Charles has started to tee off! Picked the slower one early and it was on the pads to make things easier, Charles just gets inside the line and whips it well wide of short fine leg

Chameera to Charles, FOUR, bad ball, quite similar to the one that Amla got out to but Charles does better with the placement. Short and wide, stays back to blast the cut through point

Chameera to Amla, out Caught by Stirling!! This was hit so hard and it flew off the blade but the basic rule of shot-making is to pick the gap and Amla didn't do that. Saw the width on offer and he could have put it anywhere he wanted on the off-side, probably got a bit lax as he clobbered this on the up, only to find Stirling at backward point with precision. Amla will be gutted, that was a boundary ball to be honest and he couldn't put it away. Amla c Stirling b Chameera 6(7) [4s-1]

Willey to Charles, FOUR, lucky runs! Charles wanted to big over cover but neither the length nor the pace was there, eventually forcing a slice that goes well over short third man. Willey has a wry smile on his face

Willey to Amla, FOUR, Willey has begun with a leg stumpish line but this time feeds pace as well. Too easy for Amla who gets a faint tickle to send it down towards the fine leg fence. Got it very fine
