Simpson to Mousley, SIX, he's picked the bones out of this one! Lovely shot and England are finishing very strongly here in Kimberly. Slower ball on middle and leg, Mousley picks it early and slog sweeps it powerfully over deep mid-wicket. Brings up fifty as well and this has been a priceless innings
49.2
4
Simpson to Aldridge, FOUR, off the bottom edge but England and Aldridge won't care at this stage. Was very full and outside off, he couldn't connect the drive properly but the nick will do as well. Goes away very fine past the keeper to the third man fence
48.4
4
Liam Scott to Mousley, FOUR, connects this time! I did say freaky and it indeed is. This was a half volley and Mousley's reverse sweep finds the sweet spot, slicing it easily over a leaping backward point
47.4
6
Simpson to Aldridge, SIX, this has landed on the roof! Much-needed biggie for England in these slog overs. Juicy full toss, Aldridge was backing away early and just swung over mid-wicket. Made a fantastic connection to send this whistling away. Aldridge had a look at the square leg umpire to see if he could get a waist-high no ball but it's a fair delivery
47.2
Simpson to Aldridge, 1 run, slower ball, Aldridge was backing away but is cramped and gets an inside edge onto the pads
45
4
Simpson to Mousley, FOUR, smart batting from Mousley who plays the field beautifully on this occasion. Read the slower ball and with the width on offer, he had the time to pick his spot. Opens the bat face very late to slice this between the keeper and short third man
44.3
4
Simpson to Aldridge, FOUR, aerial but Aldridge has picked his spot. Slower ball on middle and leg, he probably read it and chips this using his wrists over square leg. Neat placement
42.4
W
Simpson to Balderson, out Caught by Patrick Rowe!! Edged and gone. Australia starting to tighten the screws. Round the wicket, angling in from a fuller length and tails away just a tad as Balderson looks to drive. Gets a healthy nick through to Patrick Rowe who makes no mistake. England are imploding a bit here. Balderson c Patrick Rowe b Simpson 0(4)
41.4
W
Liam Scott to Joey Evison, out Caught by Sully!! Clever bowling and Evison is sent packing. Slower and wider, he fancies slamming this over cover but can only get a fat slice. Lobs up towards short third man where Sully accepts a dolly. Australia picking up those timely wickets whenever England have threatened to break free. Joey Evison c Sully b Liam Scott 21(28) [4s-1 6s-1]
41.1
6
Liam Scott to Mousley, SIX, terrific effort by Sangha! Took a sharp catch at long-off but it was hit flat at him and the momentum dragged him backwards towards the ropes. He tried to parry it back so that he could take it onh the rebound, and did that too. Only that his back foot had touched the ropes before he could release the ball. It's confirmed on replays and Mousley has a life. Had miscued this loft just a bit and for a moment, he might have been nervous
40.1
6
Simpson to Joey Evison, SIX, he's absolutely pumped this! Short and sits up nicely for Evison just nails it over deep mid-wicket with a clean strike. A riveting pull shot
39.2
4
Liam Scott to Joey Evison, FOUR, excellent batting! This was on a good length, Evison decided to go over mid-off and made a clean connection with the loft over the infield. A shot of swagger
37.3
4
Oliver Davies to Mousley, FOUR, orthodox sweep, nicely bends down and connects this beautifully to send it away to the deep square leg fence. Mousley loves this shot
35.1
4
Oliver Davies to Mousley, FOUR, erratic delivery, spilled down leg and Mousley swept it away hard well wide of short fine leg. Easy runs
34.2
W
Sully to Ben Charlesworth, out Caught by Sangha!! This is a massive wicket for Australia! Charlesworth was the anchor around which the England innings was revolving and he has to go. Was losing his momentum in recent overs due to lack of strike and it has affected him eventually. Harmless short ball on leg stump, wasn't really threatening but Charlesworth couldn't control the swivel-pull, thereby getting a fat top edge. Sangha at fine leg initially seemed to have overran the ball but then gathered himself properly to pouch it. A fab innings from Charlesworth but he will be gutted to get out at this stage. Is this a game-changing moment? Ben Charlesworth c Sangha b Sully 82(100) [4s-11]
32.1
W
Sully to Goldsworthy, out Caught by Patrick Rowe!! Back to back wickets for Australia. The promotion for Goldsworthy does not work out as he goes for a golden duck. Back of a length with some away nibble, Goldsworthy pokes with laden feet and nicks it behind to the keeper. There was a bit of extra bounce as well as the ball took the shoulder of the bat. Goldsworthy c Patrick Rowe b Sully 0(1)
31.4
W
Sangha to Jack Haynes, out Caught by Fraser-McGurk!! It was a game of patience and Sangha has won it. He picks up his first wicket of the game. Tossed up invitingly outside off and Haynes goes for the slog sweep, the ball spins away to catch the top-edge and skies towards extra cover, a simple catch for Fraser-McGurk. Jack Haynes c Fraser-McGurk b Sangha 31(43) [4s-2]
29.5
Sangha to Jack Haynes, no run, dropped! Sangha has put a return catch down. Flighted and dips right in front of the right hander, Haynes whip-drives it straight back, the ball comes low and Sangha spills it. Tough one but you expect it to be taken
28.4
4
Murphy to Ben Charlesworth, FOUR, edged and four. Third man has been a productive boundary scoring region in this partnership. Quicker delivery that turns away, Charlesworth drives and the outside edge runs through the vacant slip area
26
4
Sangha to Ben Charlesworth, FOUR, runs starting to flow now.. Pushed it through and offers width outside off, Charlesworth slashes and the outside edge runs away fine to third man
25.2
4
Sangha to Jack Haynes, FOUR, gift from Sangha and Haynes does not miss out. A juicy full toss around off, Haynes kneels down and sweeps it powerfully to deep square leg, no chance for the fielder in the deep to stop that
24.1
4
Murphy to Ben Charlesworth, FOUR, makes room and slashes at the quicker delivery outside off, the outside edge runs away fine to third man. England will welcome this boundary as the run-rate has dropped
23.5
Sangha to Jack Haynes, 2 runs, dropped? Not sure Harvey even got a hand to it. Haynes sees the shortish length and throws his bat, the top-edge flies to slip and the ball goes past Harvey even before he can react
21.1
4
Oliver Davies to Jack Haynes, FOUR, overcooks the flighted delivery and there's the much needed boundary for England. The pressure was mounting and this four will release some of it. Haynes gets a big stride forward and creams the drive past the diving cover fielder
20.1
F
Murphy to Ben Charlesworth, 1 run, fifty for Charlesworth. He needs to bat long and deep to take England to a competitive total. Works the flighted delivery towards mid-wicket and crosses over
18
W
Oliver Davies to Tom Clark, out Caught by Mackenzie Harvey!! The pressure got to Clark. He was kept on a leash by the spinners and when he decided to break them, he perishes. Shimmies down the wicket, takes it on the full and whips it straight to mid-wicket, Harvey bends down to complete the catch. Australia fighting back after the opening stand. Tom Clark c Mackenzie Harvey b Oliver Davies 2(14)
14.1
W
Murphy to Jordan Cox, out Caught&Bowled!! Soft dismissal and Australia have finally broken through. A bit of drift on this off break and probably held onto the pitch a bit as well. Cox was early into the drive and could only spoon it back at Murphy who takes the easiest of return catches. A solid opening stand but it's broken now. Jordan Cox c and b Murphy 25(41) [4s-4]
11.3
4
Liam Scott to Jordan Cox, FOUR, short of a length, sits up for Cox who heaves it away over mid-wicket
10.5
4
Sully to Ben Charlesworth, FOUR, absolute disdain from Charlesworth as he picks up this harmless half-tracker with a cracking pull over mid-wicket. Crunched it away
10.4
4
Sully to Ben Charlesworth, FOUR, short and too wide, Charlesworth sits deep in the crease and glides this wide of the backward point fielder. Pure timing as he just used Sully's pace to find the gap and the outfield did the rest
9
4
Sully to Ben Charlesworth, FOUR, wide half volley and Charlesworth crunches the square drive behind point. Desperate attempt from third man going across to his left but he couldn't parry it back properly and the ball trickled back past the ropes
8.1
4
Sully to Ben Charlesworth, FOUR, streaky runs! Shortish and cramped Charlesworth for room as he went for the pull, got a fat inside edge that just missed the sticks and also beat a diving Patrick Rowe to his right towards fine leg
7
4
Sully to Jordan Cox, FOUR, fab shot! These two have already put on an exhibition of silky strokes. Here is another one of them. Too full from Sully and it's quite straight as well, Cox shuffles just a bit and drives this exquisitely past the bowler. Mid-on is quite wide and has no chance
6
4
Simpson to Ben Charlesworth, FOUR, sprayed on the pads, asking to be put away and Charlesworth whips it away behind square leg to pick up another boundary
5.3
4
Simpson to Ben Charlesworth, FOUR, this lad is producing some stylish strokes. Another high-quality shot. Overpitched on middle and leg, Charlesworth holds his shape and clips this through mid-wicket with absolute grace. Wow!
4.1
Sully to Jordan Cox, no run, just short of the slip cordon! Once again Sully generates some kick off the deck from a good length, taking Cox totally by surprise. He was in a tangle trying to fend and is lucky that ball didn't carry to the fielders in the slips. Flew off the bat handle
3.5
4
Simpson to Jordan Cox, FOUR, sublime stroke! Was overcooked by Simpson and Cox presented the full face of the bat to ease this straight back past the bowler. Mid-off was wider and hence, full value for the shot
2.4
4
Sully to Jordan Cox, FOUR, shortish and into the hips, Cox gets across and tickles it very fine down the leg-side. Fine leg is a bit square and cannot get across in time
1.4
4
Simpson to Ben Charlesworth, FOUR, elegantly struck! Wide half-volley and Charlesworth just leant on the drive nicely, caressing it on the up through the gap at extra cover
0.3
4
Sully to Ben Charlesworth, FOUR, bad bounce does the cover fielder in, and it sneaks past him to race away to the fence. Short and wide, was a bad ball and Charlesworth slapped it on the up
