McAndrew to Hardie, SIX, he's got the height on this and as it turns out, also the distance. Short ball, sat up to be hit and Hardie muscles the pull over wide long-on. Easily done

Milne to J Richardson, FOUR, brute power from Richardson! Very full and wide, he reaches out and pumps this through the gap between extra cover and mid-off. Nobody in the deep there. Handy hits these for the Scorchers

Milne to J Richardson, SIX, slammed! Milne misses his length and goes the distance. Richardson can be a handy hitter and this was there to be put away. Smashed straight down the ground over long-off

Cutting to Munro, out Caught by Billings!! Soft dismissal! Munro is livid with himself. This was very wide, would have been wided too but Munro reaches it with an attempted slash-cut. Can only get a thick edge that's gleefully accepted by Billings. Thunder are doing well to chip away at the wickets here at the back end. These last two strikes are of such high value, as the two of them were set to certainly take the score in the 195-200 range. Munro c Billings b Cutting 50(41) [4s-1 6s-3]

Cutting to Hardie, FOUR, short and at the body, Hardie swivels to get inside the line and pulls this nicely. Well wide of short fine leg and away to the fence

McAndrew to Munro, 1 run, very full and outside off, jammed out towards cover for a single. Third successive BBL fifty for Munro! He's in excellent form and importantly, these knocks have all come in relatively tough situations. Just a mild raise of the bat, he knows he has to bat deeper

McAndrew to Turner, out Caught by Sangha!! What an incredible catch! Amazing stuff! And the Thunder needed this. They badly needed to break this partnership and it had to be something special for that to happen. Sangha provides this. Was bowled wider by McAndrew and Turner preditated the paddle scoop. Made a decent connection but Sangha at short fine leg had already started to run as soon as the ball was in the air. Had to really chase the ball trekking back, but does so and dives perfectly to pouch it. Superbly done! Ends a priceless cameo from Turner. Turner c Sangha b McAndrew 31(13) [4s-3 6s-2]

Chris Green to Turner, FOUR, Turner is decimating Green here! After going straight and on the leg-side, opts for the off-side this time. Makes a hint of room and lifts this over the cover fielder. Easily done

Chris Green to Turner, 2 runs, drifting in on middle and leg, worked away towards wide long-on. They race back for the second run

Chris Green to Turner, FOUR, no stoppng Turner! Green switches to over the wicket but still can't stop the boundary. Keeps it outside off but Turner was already across with the shuffle. Sweeps it hard and easily over backward square leg. Very rare to see Green being belted like this

Chris Green to Turner, SIX, back-to-back sixes! This is a great example of picking your shot and picking the gap. Fuller length, straighter line, Turner makes room and just eases it straight over the bowler's head. Over the ropes

Chris Green to Turner, SIX, big part of the ground but when Turner connects well, no boundary is big enough. Premeditated shuffle and he nails the slog sweep over backward square leg. High and handsome!

Milne to Munro, SIX, how about that for a riposte! Milne tries the yorker but Munro is probably expecting it. Just shuffles a tad, bends low and takes this on the full. Paddle scooped comfortably over short fine leg. It's gone all the way!! Tells you how well he connected there

Milne to Munro, leg byes, FOUR, another boundary! Once again not off the bat but the Scorchers and Munro will take it anyway it comes. Milne once again errs in line while trying to follow the left-hander, feeds on the legs and it goes off the pads very fine down the leg-side

Milne to Munro, leg byes, FOUR, tries to follow Munro with a fuller ball but it strays down leg, Munro deflects it off the pads and gets it between the keeper and short fine leg

Cutting to Turner, 1 run, quite full and straight, wristed away towards deep mid-wicket

Cutting to Munro, FOUR, you could hear a grunt from Cutting as soon as he delivered this. He knew he had bowled a buffet ball. Short of a length on leg stump, Munro just had to get this past short fine leg and he does so with a swivel pull

Cutting to Turner, FOUR, the typical Turner scoop! Shuffles across early and times his connection properly. Lobs it straight over the keeper's head and gets a boundary

Doggett to Mitchell Marsh, out Caught by Chris Green!! Doggett can do no wrong today! Each time Thunder has needed a wicket, he has provided it. Although this is a fluke strike and he knows it too. Short and wide, asking to be belted and Marsh went hard on the slash-cut. Just had to get it over the infield to pick up a boundary. Unfortunately, he hits it flat and straight to Green at backward point. Marsh can't believe it. This is such a vital strike, given the all-rounder's hitting form. Cutting to Mitchell Marsh, FOUR, wrong line and Marsh is in such form that he won't miss out. Strays on the pads, Marsh gets inside the line and glances this away very fine down the leg-side, splitting Billings and short fine leg

Sangha to Munro, SIX, crunched! Perfect start for the home side after the break. In the slot and it's flat as well in trajectory, Munro absolutely mooses this slog sweep over cow corner. Mammoth blow

Doggett to Mitchell Marsh, FOUR, starts in style, Marsh! He knows this ground too well and so this extra bounce won't trouble him. Gets a bouncer first up, swivels inside the line and nails the pull down the leg-side. Fine leg is very fine and has no chance

Doggett to Josh Inglis, out Bowled!! It's the Doggett show today! Comes back and wastes little time in breaking this threatening partnership. Went very full and straight, Inglis backed away to play the big shot and couldn't make any connection at all. Must say that all the three wickets have been a result of the batters being a touch too eager to play shots when they weren't quite there. Josh Inglis b Doggett 20(18) [4s-3]

Milne to Josh Inglis, FOUR, splits deep mid-wicket and straightish long-on with this bottom-handed jab across the line. Got the desired length for the shot, did Inglis, and picked his spot well. Runs starting to flow now

Sangha to Munro, SIX, kaboooooooom! Flatter, fuller and right in the slot for Munro. He clears his front leg and goes straight down the ground with a superb lofted hit. Went into the skies and also deep into the crowd. Much-needed hit for the Scorchers

Sangha to Josh Inglis, FOUR, terrific shot! Inglis uses his feet and makes room to go inside out over extra cover. Clean connection and places it wide of sweeper cover. Nimble footwork was the key. Sangha under pressure straightaway

Doggett to Josh Inglis, FOUR, a near-screamer from Sangha! Covered good ground to his right from third man and put in a desperate dive but the ball just evaded him and got across the ropes. Was short and outside off, Inglis opted for the upper cut due to the bounce on the pitch. Didn't quite middle it as well as he would have liked to. Just gets away with it. Terrific effort from Sangha

Chris Green to Munro, 1 run, low full toss and bunted it to Green who lets it through his hands! He can't believe it, was a sharp chance but you'd expect him to take this. Munro struck this really hard and ends up getting a single to long-on

Doggett to Roy, out Caught by Billings!! Gone this time! Double strike from Doggett and it's another huge strike. Roy looks to slash this aerially on the off-side but this kicks up off the deck to induce a slice that goes straight up in the air. Billings once again under it, and takes the catch comfortably. Both the wickets have been due to the batsmen's inability to adjust to the extra bounce. They check to see if that was the second bouncer of the over, because that would make it a no-ball. Doggett to Roy, FOUR, cheeky shot! Bordering on danger given the bounce on this surface but Roy has pulled it off. Shuffled across early for the scoop and Doggett followed him, but the England player managed to get it over the keeper

Doggett to Livingstone, out Caught by Billings!! First-ball strike for Doggett! His first ball of the season too and he's delighted to begin with a bang. This wicket was on the cards though, given how unusually edgy Livingstone was out there. Gave the charge again, but the bounce once again troubles him even as he tries to go through with the slog. Miscue straight up into the skies and Billings gets across to his right to settle under it near the gully region. Livingstone c Billings b Doggett 3(8)

Milne to Roy, FOUR, lovely timing and even better placement from Roy! Shuffled across to glance this down the leg-side and there was a fielder at deep backward square leg who tried to get across but couldn't cut it off. Nicely done
