Hogan to Russell, FOUR, 24 off the final set! Crazy finish from the big man. This is a streaky boundary though. Went for the heave, and got a big inside edge that just beat a diving de Kock to his left and short fine leg dived over the ball to let it through. When it rains, it surely pours. Russell is one happy man tonight

Hogan to Russell, FOUR, bleeding runs here! Poor Hogan! Bowled a terrific previous set but this is anything but good. Short ball, Russell pulls fiercely and only gets a top edge. Still well over short fine leg and deep backward square leg can't get across
98
6
Hogan to Russell, SIX, a stunning one-handed Dre Russ smash! Slot ball, Hogan misses the yorker and it's been whacked over long-on, the bottom hand coming off early from the blade and Russell doesn't care really. What power! What hitting!
97
F
Hogan to Russell, FOUR, gets to his fifty in style! Russell at his very best, shuffles inside the line to the short ball and pulls it well wide of short fine leg. This is the kind of innings we've been used to seeing from him
96
6
Hogan to Russell, SIX, and the set starts badly for Hogan! Misses the yorker, low full toss and Russell swipes this over deep square leg. Easy as you like! Flat maximum
92
4
J Fuller to Russell, FOUR, Garton with a shocking dropped catch! Not only has he dropped Russell of all people, he's also palmed this for a boundary. Horror stuff and Fuller is livid. Induced the mishit from Russell who wanted to go downtown and sliced this a fair bit. Regulation take at long-off, easy peasy but Garton makes a total mess of it
91
6
J Fuller to Russell, SIX, length ball to Dre Russ - you're kidding me Fuller! Russell clears his front leg and dumps this way over long-off. Monstrous blow
89
Hogan to Tristan Stubbs, 1 run, slower and fuller outside off, drilled down to long-off
88
W
Hogan to Buttler, out Caught by Tim David!! A soft dismissal for Buttler! Went early for his favourite scoop shot, but Hogan cleverly slipped in the slower ball to fox the Originals skipper. The result is an edge off the back of the bat and it goes to backward point. Weird dismissal and crucially for Brave, David holds onto the chance. This has been an excellent set from Hogan so far, he's definitely saved his side 10-15 runs with this wicket. Buttler falls but he's done a fine job, despite not being at his lethal best. Buttler c Tim David b Hogan 68(42) [4s-3 6s-5]
86
Hogan to Buttler, 1 run, slower and shorter outside off, Buttler cuts this away to deep point
85
6
Lintott to Buttler, SIX, probably one of Buttler's cleanest strikes of the night! And it's gone way into the crowd at cow corner. Shuffles across early, gets a leg break in the slot and it's smoked across the line with those strong wrists of his
83
4
Lintott to Russell, FOUR, outside edge off the cut and it evades backward point where David is too lazy getting across. Races past him to the fence. Googly, shortish, Russell is in no control as he slashes at this. Gets a boundary nevertheless
80
4
George Garton to Russell, FOUR, slower ball, Russell heaves and although this isn't a clean connection, manages to get it well wide of long-on. The final flourish is in full swing now and the Brave bowlers better be on their mark in the remaining 20 balls or this could be HUGE
78
6
George Garton to Buttler, SIX, Buttler joins in the fun! Monstrous blow! Probably another slower ball, but it's in the slot and Buttler with the golf swing clouts this over wide long-on. Welcome to the Buttler-Russell Show, it's officially ON
76
6
George Garton to Russell, SIX, Russell is starting to find his range and this isn't good news for the Brave. Slower ball on a hard length, he waits on the back foot and swings this over long-on. Plenty of height on the shot and enough distance too
74
6
J Fuller to Russell, SIX, no margin for error against this man, he's simply ruthless! Length ball this time, Russell clears his front leg and goes boom over deep mid-wicket with a mighty heave. Didn't middle it completely, still went way over the fence
66
F
Moriarty to Buttler, 2 runs, flatter and wider, Buttler makes room and cuts it away behind point. Comfortable brace to bring up his fifty! As mentioned earlier, hasn't been his most fluent knock but he's still going at a fine strike rate. If he gets his mojo, well, that's going to be very ominous
64
W
Lintott to Madsen, out Madsen Run Out!! 1 run completed. One of the most bizarre run outs you'll ever see! So, Madsen slog swept this and got a big top edge that flew over the bowler, and landed in no man's land. The second run was on for sure but he was too lazy in getting back, perhaps not expecting a throw at his end. Well, as it turned out, Stoinis' shy at the bowler's end misses and it instead hits the stumps at the other end with Madsen casually ambling in. Bat is in the air and that's a very lucky break for the Brave. Waste of a wicket really. Madsen run out (Stoinis) 9(12)
62
6
Lintott to Buttler, SIX, he's not middling them well but still hitting them for sixes. That's the ability of Buttler! Went for the slog sweep against the leg break, percentage stroke indeed and he's now getting a move-on despite not being at his fluent best
60
6
Stoinis to Buttler, SIX, slower ball, Buttler picks it and clobbers this with that bat swing of his. Again not the perfect connection but such is his power that it clears long-on comfortably. Much-needed hit for the Originals
51
4
J Fuller to Buttler, FOUR, clubbed! Slightly too full, allowing Buttler to heave it over the leaping mid-on fielder. Didn't make the desired connection but still had enough power
41
W
Lintott to Philip Salt, out Caught by Stoinis!! Crunched but straight down Stoinis' throat at long-off! Lintott continues to impress and he's broken through this ominous opening stand. Was a googly, fullish too but a bit wide and made Salt fetch the lofted shot. Couldn't get any real elevation and hit it flat down the ground. Kudos to Vince for having the long-off fielder quite straight. Philip Salt c Stoinis b Lintott 38(22) [4s-4 6s-1]
33
6
Moriarty to Buttler, SIX, Buttler finally gets hold of one! Steps out early, gets to the pitch of this floaty delivery and launches over long-on
32
Moriarty to Philip Salt, 1 run, makes room early for the punch but can only get it down to long-off. 50-run stand! Fluent and solid start from these two
25
4
Hogan to Philip Salt, FOUR, streaky this time and Hogan grunts in frustration! Was on the shorter side, Salt made room and flashed hard, only to get a thick edge that just beat de Kock to his right
24
6
Hogan to Philip Salt, SIX, he's sent this into orbit! Whoa! Almost a slog sweep this, that too against a pacer and Salt makes it look so easy. Kneels down and picks this up beautifully, crunching all the way over deep backward square leg. Went up, up and up, and almost didn't come down at all
22
4
Hogan to Buttler, FOUR, well, if it doesn't work once, try it again. The Buttler scoop! Timed his shuffle better this time and watched the ball till the very end, lobbing it easily over the keeper
19
4
Stoinis to Buttler, FOUR, Buttler gets into the act now! Half-tracker, sits up nicely for Buttler who swivels and cracks the pull firmly into the gap at deep mid-wicket. Nobody is stopping these
14
4
Moriarty to Philip Salt, FOUR, Salt is taking a liking to Moriarty here and clearly doesn't want to let the spinner settle at all. Makes room again, gets one more in the slot and it's thumped well to the left of mid-off. Uppish, but he picked his spot
11
4
Moriarty to Philip Salt, FOUR, well, Salt clearly doesn't care whether it's pace/ spin, he is going to smash anything in his arc. This was in the slot, he just stepped out and smashed it straight back past the bowler
3
4
George Garton to Philip Salt, FOUR, drilled straight back past the bowler and it races away on this quick outfield. Not all that full but Salt reaches out and powers it away with a straight bat
