Pakistan ring in eight changes for Sri Lanka T20Is

Pakistan have announced their ODI and T20I squads for the tour of Sri Lanka scheduled from July 23 to August 4.

The tour will feature three ODIs, all scheduled at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium in Hambantota, followed by three T20Is.

Eight changes from T20 World Cup

As many as eight changes have been made to the squad that featured in the 2026 T20 World Cup, with three of those inclusions - Eman Naseer, Maham Anees and Momina Riasat - yet to make their T20I debut. Naseer, a former U19 captain, and Anees, part of the 2025 U19 T20 World Cup, are both openers, while Riasat, 23, is a left-arm spinner who has played three ODIs for Pakistan.

The new-look squad has been assembled with the selectors' focus on "developing and integrating emerging talent into the national setup," according to a PCB statement.

Sana to miss T20Is for Hundred

Fatima Sana won't be part of the T20I leg due to her commitment at the Hundred, becoming the first Pakistan women's cricketer to be a part of the competition. Picked by the Birmingham Phoenix in the wildcard draft, she will miss the T20I series, with Muneeba Ali Siddiqui captaining in her absence.

Sana will feature in the ODI series that precedes the T20Is, leading a 15-member side which features two uncapped players: Maham, along with Saira Jabeen.
