Cremer returns for Namibia tri-series
Veteran legspinner Graeme Cremer has returned to the Zimbabwe squad for the upcoming T20I tri-series in Namibia. Cremer, who last featured in the Super Eights fixture against South Africa in the T20 World Cup earlier this year, recovered from a left-arm injury that ruled him out of the home assignments against Bangladesh and India.
The 15-member squad, led by Sikandar Raza, sees the inclusion of uncapped fast bowler Kundai Matigimu. The 28-year-old, has played just 11 T20s in his career but made his bow in the Test format for Zimbabwe last year in the one-off fixture against South Africa. ODI and Test skipper Richard Ngarava misses out due to an injury alongside Tanaka Chivanga. While Ngarava is recovering from a lower back injury, Chivanga has undergone surgery after sustaining an achilles tendon injury.
All three teams will face each other twice in the series, with the top two reaching the final. Zimbabwe's first game is against South Africa on August 29 before they take on the hosts two days later.
