PLAYER OF THE MATCH
That's it from this game for today. We will be back tomorrow for more. Do join us then. For now it's bye bye.
Finn Allen | Player of the Match: Yeah, I think going into this game, we knew we needed to win, especially going into the Stars on Saturday to try and get a home final. So, yeah, good for the boys to put in a pretty solid performance. (how's the body?) Sore. Yeah, don't bat that long too often. So, had a little bit of a hammy scare early in the tournament and the same thing tonight. So, yeah, just had to rest the fielding innings there, unfortunately. (on their next game with Stars) Yeah, like I said, I think, you know, we knew these next two games are going to be huge. A bit of momentum tonight going into Saturday. Fly home tomorrow, rest up, and then hopefully go again Saturday. (how's Mitch Marsh?) Yeah, he'll be okay. I think a bit of a knock to the heel, but yeah, I think he'll pull up okay.
22:42 Local Time, 11:42 GMT, 17:12 IST: Easy win for the Scorchers who keep their hopes of securing the top spot. Also tonight's win confirms their place in the finals. Seifert and JFM threatened to pull off an unlikely win but they had too much to do and despite good knocks from the duo, the Renegades fell well short. Josh Brown was a big wicket and he fell for a duck in the first over. Apart from Seifert and JFM there was no significant contributions from the others. Once Seifert fell, the game meandered to its predictable conclusion. Stay tuned to find out who the player of the match is.
