PLAYER OF THE MATCH
LWLWLWLW - that's how Seattle Orcas have fared this season. They are currently placed second on the points table. Cameron Gannon, batting at nine, top-scored for them with 20 and that turned out to be a crucial knock. On a pitch that had variable bounce, the five seamers executed their plans really well to defend their score of 121. TSK, meanwhile, have now lost three on the bounce and are at the bottom of the table. Their hopes are still alive and they get to play their next two matches at home. On that note, it's time to bring the curtains down on this encounter. There's one more game today - San Francisco Unicorns vs MI New York - which is also the final game of the season at this venue. See you there.
Marcus Stoinis | Seattle Orcas captain: Nice to pull that off after we've lost a couple of close ones throughout the tournament. Full credit to all the boys. Even the batters, even though it wasn't the score we wanted, we ended up fighting to a reasonable target and giving our bowlers something to bowl to. And our bowlers did a great job. (On the lower order batting) I'm assuming he (Harmeet Singh) will get a scan, unfortunate with his hamstring. But he did a great job to not only put some runs on the board, but then go back out there and have another swing. And I know he would have loved to be out there with the boys, but unfortunately he couldn't. And then, so I think he'll get a scan in the next couple of days. And then Ganno (Gannon) with the bat surprised us all. Looked like he was going to get run out a few times, and there was a lot happening at both the striker's end and non-striker's end, but he did well. (On the bowling performance) Baart's (Baartman) awesome. He's been awesome throughout the whole tournament, so consistent, bowling in tough overs. He's turned the game when we've needed him. And then Dasun to bowl well throughout the whole game, really. But then that last over under pressure, Double hat-trick. Yeah, one thing, obviously, taking a double hat-trick, but more so just stepping up under pressure and sealing the game for us.
Dasun Shanaka | MVP: (Is that your first ever hat-trick?) Of course, indeed it is. Yeah, all in my cricket career. (Do you remember a certain Sri Lankan who got four in four ever before?) Of course, one and only great Lasith Malinga, my captain. (What does it feel like to be the second Sri Lankan to do it?) It feels amazing to get a double hat-trick. It's a different stage, but really happy. (Were you happy to bowl the final over?) I had a bad day when we played in San Francisco. So, yeah, I knew that it's going to be myself or Stoinis at the end. So, after Stoinis bowled four overs, it was me only left to bowl the last over. And, Donovan was on strike. He's a kind of a player who can finish the games from nowhere. So, happy to get Donovan's wicket. And, it was the icing on the cake. Our bowlers bowled really well.
Faf du Plessis | Texas Super Kings captain: Disappointed. Obviously, a low-scoring thriller. Games that you would feel like you can get across the line but it was hard work. You have to give credit the way that Baartman especially, he bowled that area on the pitch where he got quite a bit out of it. (On the batting) The nature of the pitch ... the method was to try and take it deep. It's not the kind of wicket where you can just take the game on and get boundaries. So, it was almost like playing one-day cricket in the middle period where you can see the guys trying to just extend the partnership. But then it's also important that the run-rate doesn't creep up too high because once again, the surface doesn't allow you to go at 12, 13, 14 towards the back end. But it's easier said than done with the ball misbehaving quite a bit. (How do you recover?) Yeah, we have to. If you play well, you can still get your net run-rate and get through. We weren't at our best here in LA, so we back to our home turf and hopefully we can bring our best.
18:21 Local Time, 01:21 GMT, 06:51 IST: In reply to Seattle Orcas' 121, Texas Supr Kings' openers wanted to bat positively but Ottneil Baartman dismissed them in his 1st over. Jasdeep Singh, who conceded 14 runs in his 1st over, removed Rossouw off the final ball of the powerplay. Shubham Ranjane and Wiaan Mulder batted cautiously after that, reaching 50/3 at the end of the 10th over. Baartman nipped out Mulder immediately after the drinks break and bowled a wicket-maiden. A successful review resulted in Forrester's dismissal and Stoinis finished with 1/19. Baartman bowled another tight over, finishing with incredible figures of 4-1-9-3. With 28 needed off the last 2 overs, Ferreira hit a six and a four off Jasdeep to bring the equation down to 15 needed off the final over. Shubham Ranjane hit a boundary off the first ball but Shanaka came back in style. Removed the dangerous Ferreira, used the leg-cutter to good effect, bagged a hat-trick and wrapped up the proceedings with four wickets in four deliveries.

Dasun Shanaka to Amshi de Silva, out Caught by Shimron Hetmyer!! Four in four for Dasun Shanaka! Seattle Orcas win by 9 runs. Full delivery, off-speed, Amshi de Silva gets down to swipe across the line and top-edges. Hetmyer runs in from long-on and takes a superb catch diving forward. It's celebration time for the Orcas who have defended 121. Amshi de Silva c Shimron Hetmyer b Dasun Shanaka 0(1)

Dasun Shanaka to Adam Milne, out Caught by Tim Seifert!! Hat-trick for Dasun Shanaka! The keeper goes back now and the Sri Lankan bowls another leg-cutter on a length marginally wide of off. Milne moves leg-side to swing over midwicket and gets an outside edge. Easy catch for the keeper. Shanaka jumps and punches the air in delight. Adam Milne c Tim Seifert b Dasun Shanaka 0(1)

Dasun Shanaka to Savage, out Caught by Shimron Hetmyer!! Length ball, Savage has no choice but to go after it. Another leg-cutter from Shanaka. Big backlift from Savage to thump it downtown. Doesn't quite middle it and hits it straight down long-on's throat where Hetmyer makes no mistake. Savage c Shimron Hetmyer b Dasun Shanaka 0(1)

Dasun Shanaka to Donovan Ferreira, out Bowled!! Bowled him! It's the slower ball from Shanaka. Looked like the leg-cutter that just refused to bounce. Ferreira crouches a bit to swing hard across the line and gets done in by the lack of bounce. Timber! Seattle Orcas are cock-a-hoop! Donovan Ferreira b Dasun Shanaka 22(16) [4s-2 6s-1]
