Tahir (2/2): (93rd victory for the Amazon Warriors, the most by any team. Since you've taken over the captaincy, three consecutive finals. What it is about the captaincy that you enjoy the most?) Look, it's a responsibility I've been given, and I take that as an honour. If I come to play any game for Guyana, it's the first and last game for me. I think there are many Guyanese players that want to be here. And if I'm representing everybody, then I need to take all the responsibility as a captain, as a bowler, and whatever I can benefit to the team. But I also want to be thankful to my teammates. Their hard work and the way they prepare coming to this comp and in the previous comps. There is no fault in that. So we're really happy that we have a good start, but we have to make sure we carry on the same plan what we've been doing over the years, and hopefully this year as well.

Imran Tahir (1/2): Yeah, it means everything. We work hard to be where we are today. We won our first game and good start for us. We worked really hard the whole week we've been training. We don't want to take things for granted and that's what we showed today. It means a lot and, yeah, I'm really happy we have a very good start. (Eight wickets for your spin group tonight. How did you guys assess the conditions and put in that bowling performance?) Yeah, look, there was a little bit of turn. I won't say it was a bad pitch. I think it was a decent pitch. You can get 170, 180, but I think I have to give credit to our fast bowlers and Nabi, the way he bowled. He is an experienced guy. So I think we knew our plan before we came, where we need to bowl. And, yeah, I think once you come and you bowl a couple of balls, you need to adjust with the conditions quite quickly. And I think that's what we did really well. (On planning and adapting to the conditions in the middle) Yeah, look, it (conditions) changes. You had your plan, but you're watching on screen, it's not going to be the same. Every day is a new day. And I think you have to have a professional approach when you go there, and obviously we can't give any excuses. I think this was a little bit slower than the other day what we watched the game. Other thing we were thinking about the dew, which didn't happen. But I still think that we were looking to bowl stump to stump. I think whenever we went a little bit outside, I think that's where one or two boundaries came, and we knew what we need to do, and we stuck to our plan.

Powell (2/2): [What are you going to say to these guys now to keep that belief going?] Just to lift their heads up, nobody's going to come from outside and lift our head up for us. It's an opportunity, a great opportunity playing in a good competition. Cricket hasn't been played here for a while, therefore the local talent has dwindled down a little bit. So the guys will need a little bit of work. Tomorrow, we'll spend some time together instead of dispersing into our little groups. Spend some time together and hopefully that brings us a little closer as a team. [What do you say to this crowd?] Just be patient with us. If you know cricket, you see that it's a young team. Guys need help at this level. Not a lot of guys have a lot of experience playing in CPL at these conditions. Just be patient with us, come out again. Trinidad is a very good team. We will need your support against Trinidad, rallying around us. And I'm sure we'll turn it around at some point.

Rovman Powell (1/2): [Three losses in three matches. How does this impact the psyche of the team?] I think this is where captaincy and a good coaching staff comes to play. We have to find ways of instilling confidence within the boys. But having said that, we still as players need to find a complete game. [On the batting performance] I think it's just disappointing batting. But having said that, you have to give credit to the Guyana bowlers. They find their lengths and line pretty early. But I think as a batting group, whenever we got out, we got out pretty soft. Whenever we had a partnership, we didn't stretch it up for long.

Mohammad Nabi | Player of the Match: [Tell us how you prioritized your contemplation of bowling there] We practised three sessions there, and planning for bowling from that side ... bigger side, and also against wind, and targeting the leg-side and most of the time bowling top spin. Because with that angle, it looks like it's going to midwicket, but it's top spin, it's tough to hit. [What's your take on the offspinners vs right-handers negative matchup talk?] I don't know. It's a negative mentality about most of the coaches or something like that. But it depends on situation and pitch condition, grounds, bigger size as well. If the bowlers are clever and use the condition accordingly, and pitching the ball on the right area, it'll be tough to hit. [How did you guys work on the surface together?] Yeah, with the new ball, it was a little bit skiddy, and after the 10 overs, there was a little bit of hold. There was a little bit turn and bounce as well. That's why we bowled on a line and length to get wickets and bring them under pressure.
