Rovman Powell | Jamaica Kingsmen skipper: [On what the victory means] It's massive. We started out knowing that if we are going to progress far in the competition, you have to beat teams like Trinidad and Guyana. They have been the front runners for some time in CPL, so it's massive to especially come in Trinidad and get two points. [On the decision to bowl first despite the possibility of rain] Yeah, but we weren't preparing for rain, to be honest. We just think the wicket was a good one, and when you come Trinidad you get a little bit of dew, and it's always better to chase. You know, so that's what made our decision. It wasn't a factor of rain. [On Vitel's triple-wicket maiden and his decision to give the youngster opportunities] As a young team we decided at the start that we give guys opportunity. It's not a case of them playing one game, bowling one or two bad overs and then getting changed. At the start of my career as a youngster, I was given the opportunity. So as a captain, I would try my best to give these youngsters opportunity also. [On the decision to promote Maaz Sadaqat up the order] I think it's just a case of the makeup of the Trinidadian bowlers. We trying our best. It's the first time we have found ourselves with so much left-handers at the top. We are trying to mix and match in the terms where left-hand right-hand combination and see how well it goes for us. We are trying our best to keep Akeal out the game, bring Sunil Narine early to bowl to those left-handers. [On the importance of the two points at this stage of the tournament] Massive. You know, it's now we look to Guyana game, that becomes even a more important game for us, and it also gives Andre Russell more time for him to come back.

Nicholas Pooran | TKR skipper: [On the DLS defeat] Tough one to swallow. I think the batsmen did well to get a score of 180. Nobody expected the rain to obviously fall tonight, but it's always tough to obviously lose by 7 runs on Duckworth-Lewis. It's a tough pill to swallow. [On the top order finally firing] Yeah, it was brilliant, Munro and Sunil there, obviously brilliant tonight. We saw when the ball got a bit softer, dry conditions, so it challenges the bat a bit in the middle. So we felt like 180 was a really good score on that total, and then the rain came and the ball got wet. And there's only so much bowlers can do when the ball is not getting changed by the umpires as well. So it's a tough one to swallow, tough one for the guys. I think we're up for the fight today, and unfortunately stuff like this happen. [On taking positives into the clash against Guyana] We as a group, we know what we have to do, and we saw today that we have the ability to fight, and that's what we have to do for the next four games. We need to fight and fight and stay in it, continue to believe that we will win games and maybe win a couple games and see where it goes from. So again, this one is our momentum as well, and hopefully on Monday we can be on the right side. [On Kieron Pollard's injury] I'm not sure. He looks fine, hopefully he's fine for Monday.

Vitel Lawes | Player of the Match: [On his first season in the CPL] It's been a learning proces. I'm going into every game, I have to take some learning from it, going into the next game. Also, I have to learn to adapt to the different conditions and the atmosphere. So it's been a pretty good learning process for me so far. [On his triple-wicket maiden] I mean, the over before was pretty poor, you know, and in the halfway stage the captain had told me that I had one more over for him, and I told myself if I do get that over, I want the next one. So I wanted to bowl that over and to convince him to give me another. [On winning the Player of the Match award] I mean, it means a lot, against a team like TKR, there's no better team to get the Player of the Match award against.

The Kingsmen lost Sadaqat early, but Kirk McKenzie took on the aggressor role and helped his side race to 54 for 1 at the end of the powerplay. Keacy Carty was slow to get off the blocks, but found his rhythm after the first rain break, upping the tempo with some useful boundaries. Saim Ayub provided good company, and that was all the visitors needed. The chase only became tricky for the home side after the rain break. The bowlers found it difficult to grip the wet ball, while the slightly damp outfield did little to help their cause. Stick around for the post-match reactions...
