Washington Sundar to Ziaur Rahman Sharifi, out Caught by Rishabh Pant!! Washi finishes things off. Good catch by Pant. This is floated up invitingly and Ziaur does not hold back, he goes for the slog and the top-edge goes straight up. Pant comes forward towards short mid-wicket, keeps his eyes on the ball and hangs on. Ziaur Rahman Sharifi c Rishabh Pant b Washington Sundar 6(3) [6s-1]
Manav Suthar to Saleem Safi, out Lbw!! Manav has his sixth. But he's a tad lucky here. Ball-tracking shows that the ball pitched outside leg-stump. Richard Illingworth got it wrong. Safi did not review and started walking. This is tossed up, drifts in and lands outside leg, spins across to beat Safi's outside-edge, struck on the back pad and the impact was right in front of the stumps, which was what made Illingworth raise his finger. Saleem Safi lbw b Manav Suthar 0(3)
Manav Suthar to Rahmat Shah, out Bowled!! Cleaned up! What a way to get a 5-fer on debut. He's knocked over Afghanistan's best batter behind his legs. Even Rahmat Shah nods in approval as he sits on his knee. This is flighted, drifts in and lands around leg-stump, Shah thinks it is there for the sweep and kneels down to play the shot, but the ball dips on him and brushes the pad before smashing into middle and leg-stump. A fine knock ended with a peach. Rahmat Shah b Manav Suthar 60(135) [4s-9 6s-1]
Manav Suthar to Sharafuddin Ashraf, out Caught by Rishabh Pant!! Manav comes back and strikes first ball. Fourth for him and he's on course for a fifer on debut. Finally a review is successful in this game. Both teams have missed reviews and taken some poorly, but not this time. This is flighted above the eyeline, Ashraf thought it is there for the big mow and slogs across the line after clearing his front leg, the ball spins away and takes a thin outside-edge. Pant takes a sharp catch behind the stumps, and knew immediately there was an edge. Sharafuddin Ashraf c Rishabh Pant b Manav Suthar 11(32) [4s-2]
Prasidh Krishna to Azmatullah Omarzai, out Bowled!! A duck for Azmatullah and Prasidh has his third wicket - a loose shot though by the Afghan all-rounder, pitched up and holding its line outside off - Azmatullah was playing well in front of his body on the drive, the feet hardly moved, the ball caught the inside edge and clattered into the leg-stump. First strike of the morning and India are into the lower half now. Azmatullah Omarzai b Prasidh Krishna 0(10)
Manav Suthar to Afsar Zazai, out Caught&Bowled!! "Catch it! Le Le Manav," says Pant and the bowler takes the simple return catch. Afsar Zazai cannot believe his luck. Was a shortish delivery that turned, Afsar thought he could flick, closed the bat face early. Ball kept low as well and went straight up off the leading edge. Manav moved a couple of steps to the right and took an easy catch. That will be end of the day's play as well. Afsar Zazai c and b Manav Suthar 3(26)
Prasidh Krishna to Shahidi, out Lbw!! The change has worked. Shahidi caught on the crease trying to receive this good length delivery. He missed the ball in trying to defend. Ball hit the pad in line with middle stump. He had shuffled across a bit. Even though Prasidh Krishna was bowling from round the wicket, it was still going on to hit leg stump according to ball-tracker so Shahidi takes the review with him. Shahidi lbw b Prasidh Krishna 20(48) [4s-4]
Manav Suthar to Rahmanullah Gurbaz, out Caught by Sai Sudharsan!! Manav Suthar with another wicket. He has been pretty accurate with his line and length in this innings. And he strikes. A little turn around middle and Rahmanullah Gurbaz looks to defend, gets an outside edge towards 2nd slip and Sudharsan stationed there takes a sharp low catch. Rahmanullah Gurbaz stands there disappointed, but he has to unfortunately take the long way back to the dressing room. Has hardly conceded runs in this innings and has taken a couple of wickets at the same time. How about that for his Test debut? Rahmanullah Gurbaz c Sai Sudharsan b Manav Suthar 12(40) [4s-1 6s-1]
Prasidh Krishna to Sediqullah Atal, out Bowled!! Prasidh Krishna with his first Test wicket on Indian soil. Lovely length delivery from round the wicket, it nips into the batter by a long way and Sediqullah Atal looks to defend. Gets a little inside edge and the ball has disturbed the furniture. Sediqullah Atal was composed, however, a peach of a delivery by Prasidh Krishna results in the opener's downfall. Sediqullah Atal b Prasidh Krishna 17(27) [4s-3]
Manav Suthar to Abdul Malik, out Caught by Mohammed Siraj!! Manav strikes in his first over. Maiden Test wicket and he's delighted. Malik felt he had to do something with the ball spinning square. He shuffles across, sits down and decides to play the sweep, gets a top-edge and the ball lobs behind the wicket. Rahul runs to his left from slip and Siraj comes in from backward square. Almost a miscommunication between the duo but Siraj manages to hang on low. Siraj has a word with Rahul after completing the catch. It was Siraj's catch and he was almost put off by Rahul entering his peripheral vision. Replays show that the ball deflected off the shoulder and hence did not go far. Pant is the first one to go to Manav and embrace him. Abdul Malik c Mohammed Siraj b Manav Suthar 16(18) [4s-3]
