Lalor to Neser, SIX, Neser is playing a good little cameo here. Once again exposes all his stumps by walking towards off, Lalor follows him and dishes a full toss. Neser deposits it into the backward square leg fence by flicking it away

Steketee to Jake Lehmann, out Caught by Burns!! It's high, but isn't handsome! Finally, Lehmann is caught. But, hey, Gannon in not the bowler. So, what happened there. It was a normal-paced delivery outside off, Lehmann came forward, crouched low and decided to go downtown. Toe-ended the big shot and holed out to long-off. Steketee to Jake Lehmann, FOUR, slower ball with loads of width outside off from a short of length. 119kph! Doesn't matter as Lehmann picked it early. Waited for it and slashes it past the man at backward point

Lalor to Neser, FOUR, Neser is turning the heat on here. Lalor follows the short ball with a full ball. Doesn't get the length right and Neser is quick to latch onto it. Hammers the drill down the ground and long-on can't cut it off

Lalor to Neser, SIX, that's been clobbered! Stand and deliver. Shortish ball that sits up nicely for Neser. He moves across, clears the front leg and smites it hard over mid-wicket

Gannon to Neser, 2 runs, ah, this is ridiculous! That's what Gannon must be thinking. Another drop! It was angled in from wide of the crease and Neser just chips it down the ground. Long-off runs, made good ground and put in the dive. Can't hold! Butter fingers, everywhere

Gannon to Jake Lehmann, FOUR, head-high short ball, Lehmann gets a top-edge on his pull. Runs away fine and into the fine leg fence

Gannon to Neser, FOUR, edged and through the gap! Fullish ball outside off, Neser swings his bat hard and gets a fat outside edge that flies between the keeper and first slip. Streaky, but the Strikers won't mind

Swepson to Jake Lehmann, FOUR, two drops off his bowling and now it's turn to do some sloppy work. Gannon, the culprit, misfields at deep square leg and what's worse. Allows the ball to go past the boundary rope. HE tried to flick it back into play, but in vain. Coming to the ball, it was floated up well outside off and Lehmann fetched it from there and swept it square of the wicket

Gannon to Neser, FOUR, four to end the over. Much needed for the Strikers. Pitched up delivery around off, Neser drives it uppishly over the bowler and it runs away into the fence

Gannon to Jake Lehmann, 2 runs, ah, man! Gotta feel for Gannon. Two dropped catches off his bowling. It was a length ball and Lehmann decided to go big. Tries to go over mid-on and has no timing whatsoever. Lynn, from mid-on, runs back, but fails to gather

Yasir Shah to Ingram, out Caught by Gannon!! Flat leg-break from Yasir Shah, Ingram goes for the slog-sweep and doesn't have enough power to clear the fence. Ends up giving a straightforward catch to Gannon at deep backward square leg. Excellent spell on debut: 2/18! Ingram c Gannon b Yasir Shah 23(22) [4s-2]

Gannon to Jake Lehmann, 1 run, oh, my! Steketee has put down a dolly! Should have been two in two for Gannon. Banged it short and Lehmann plays the pull shot with a swivel. Just helps it along its way and almost gifted a catch to deep backward square leg. Steketee comes forward, gets low and fails to hold onto it. In and out!

Gannon to Wells, out Caught by Brendon McCullum!! In the air and taken! How old is McCullum? 36 years young. He is still as athletic as ever. It was a back of a length delivery that probably held onto the surface a bit. Wells delayed his stroke seeing that ended up playing a checked drive. Swepson to Wells, FOUR, good shot! Swepson gave more air and provided width as well asking the batsman to drive. Wells takes full toll of it. Lofts the drive over cover and collects a boundary

Yasir Shah to Ingram, FOUR, a rank half-tracker on middle, Ingram rocks back and could've played that shot twice, that's how long he had. Clears his front leg to pull it away to the deep mid-wicket fence

Swepson to Ingram, FOUR, leg-break straightening wide outside off, Ingram stretches forward and slices it towards sweeper cover for four

Yasir Shah to Head, out Bowled!! Top-spinner on a back of a lenegth, slightly tossed up across the southpaw, and he goes for the slog-sweep. Bounces a tad more and it bounces over the bat and hits the top of off. He was looking uncomfortable against spin, wasn't reading it off the hand (which is admittedly hard to does, given Yasir's quick-arm action), and he returns for a painful 13 off 18. No New Year fireworks this time from Head, unlike this night two years ago. Head b Yasir Shah 13(18)

Lalor to Weatherald, out Bowled!! Off-cutter at 109km/h, pitching outside off, spinning in, and hitting top of leg. Weatherald went for an almighty heave into the leg-side and was way too early into the shot. Very smart bowling. I can tell you though, had he connected, that would have cleared the district! But a smart piece of bowling by Lalor. No change in arm-speed and he deceived the batsman all ends up. Weatherald b Lalor 20(15) [4s-2 6s-1]

Lalor to Weatherald, FOUR, half-volley outside off, Weatherald just drives it through the fielders in the covers to sweeper cover fence for four

Lalor to Carey, out Bowled!! Back of a length ball just outside off, seaming in, and Carey makes room to loft it down the ground - plays down the wrong line and gets beaten by the seam movement as it clips top of middle stump! Lalor is overjoyed! The Heat get the early break-through that they wanted. Carey b Lalor 2(6)

Steketee to Weatherald, SIX, short ball into the ribcage, Weatherald gets on the back foot and swivels around to clout that pull to the deep backward square leg fence. Hits the rope on the full - SIX! Wow, that was a flat six

Burns to Weatherald, FOUR, a bit of air on that just outside off, Weatherald clear his front leg, gets down on one knee and bludgeons it through extra cover for four. Threaded the gap between cover and mid-off. Hard to get such good placement along with power. Excellent stroke
