If you have any other weekend plans, just drop them. These games will be mouth watering for sure and the breakneck action at the Hundred will make it more riveting. We will be there to get you the coverage! Bye bye for now...
Richard Gleeson | Match Hero: (On the disappointment of winning five games but still missing out on qualification) Yeah, obviously, to win five games and not qualify, when two teams have done the same as us, it’s disappointing, but that shows the strength of the competition and that you’ve got to be on top of your game all the way through. And, yeah, 30, 40, 50 runs can make a big difference. (On the toss and whether bowling first was crucial) Yeah, I think that’s what we wanted to do, but I’ve played here this year for Birmingham and we’ve scored 200 and bowled a team out for 130. So, you know, it was still within our capabilities, but it just wasn’t meant to be. Obviously, it got very dewy towards the end there. It definitely improved conditions for batting. But we still managed to get the win, so, you know, all’s well that ends well.
21:27 Local Time, 20:27 GMT, 01:57 IST: MI London needed a massive effort to make it to the play-offs and have a shot. But 98 as a target was too less to defend. It was always a case of too little. The game had started to drift away as well once MI London failed to keep the Phoenix below 98 but Curran and co. bowled some brilliant death overs to snatch a 2-run win. MI London wanted to have a chance at the silverware but over the course of the tournament they would wanted to be bit more consistent. Birmingham knew they will end up as wooden spooners but gave a good account of themselves.
